Need some tips for making good arpeggios

I'd like to hear how some of you make your arps for your trance tunes..i seem to run into a problem with only being able to make cheesy ones that arn't very good. It's not teh chord structure i'm talking about I'm more interested in how you construct them..do you just use the hardware or in some cases software arps? or do you build them using midi first? I can't seem to make those arps that are in tunes like airwave and the lot just by using my hardware arp...I think it has to be done with both midi and the arp? Anyway i'd judt like to know some tips on how to do it or how you do it.

Limit out!

arpeggiators are great for working out your song, but in the end I always find you've got to create a midi track out of your arps, and then hand-edit ; adding interest by making subtle changes, and making sure the chord changes are nice and tight.

i usually use my mc-505's arpeggiator because its got heaps of options, and it outputs individual midi notes to the sequencer that i can record and tweak.
