Good News For Maryland

Hey everyone, this is story off DCRTV.com

We may get not one but two Dance Stations in Maryland. I hope this story is true. I've been waiting for this for sucha long long long time.

"Format Flip Rumors For WWIN-FM, WRNR - 3/29 - There are a whole bunch of rumblings in our Rumorama about the next format change on the Baltimore radio dial. Perhaps something dance oriented. And, from what we're hearing, Radio One's urban adult contemporary WWIN (95.9 FM) might be the prime candidate. Our Charm City radio sources say that the station's "getting killed" by the smooth jazz on Clear Channel's new WSMJ (104.3 FM). Also, we hear, the new dance station could be Empire's adult alternative WRNR (103.1 FM). It could take place within the next two months and would be "like NYC's WKTU"....."

If you want to bash KTU, please don't reply this message. This is great news for Dance Music scene in Washington DC and Maryland.

hope this will be our party 93.1 or idt/radio538. i sick of listening to BS that i dont listen to.

This would be a great change of pace around here. I'm sure they'll still play a bunch of cheesey crap, but at least it could be a starting point. Who knows, maybe it could become our own party 93.1.
We're desperately overdue for this station.

ehhhhhh, im all about spreading the music to a wider audience. but u just know that this is going to be all cheese.

I'm at least glad someones trying to set something up.

If it gets out there enough, even with the cheeze, it'll have the possibility of getting real music on the station. If they have weekly or monthly local DJs or somethin that would be the shit.

Def need somethin with random tracks to listen to in my car. Or else, someone needs to develop a way to stream online radio in my car =)

For the record, I probably wouldn't listen to it if it was just a trance station.

you can stream it through a cell phone with edge or gmrs capability, or there's always wi-fi.
