Anyone plays paintball?
I just wanted to know if I am the only trance/paintball addict on these boards. I play once a week. Anyone else?
P.S. To those people who would want to move this thread to sport section: I am talking about recball, not tourny play.
i played once...
i like it a lot. i'm an airsoft fan though, even though i've never played in a real battle.
but it's fun.
I played it a lot way back in the day...good lord it must have been 6-7 years ago I think.
but buying all those damn paintballs got too expensive. although it was soo much fun. Especially going to those huge compounds with tons o setups...fun times.
i've been once aswell, it was wicked. It felt so good shooting a guy like 5 times before i realized the first one hit him.
my lil bro id having having a paintball party for his bday. i'm going back intown for it
paintball = too much pain
too much pain = no fun after loads of fun playing

well i guess i have no pain tolerance, i used to get hit in the legs and i got hit on the back of my head once..... it hurt
i guess i did suck, i never owned a gun though, only rented them and i only played like 3 times
It's good fun until afterwards when you have to deal with massive bruises
yeah! i went for the first time about 6 months ago
my legs are still hurting...
P.S its not a good idea to get tips from counter-strike
the one i went to the owners put horse shit in all the places to camp lol

| Originally posted by whiskers i remember when we played "till out of ammo" i got sandwiched between two shooters and i couldn't do anything so i kept getting shot in the legs but then i was like WHAT THE FUCK, ASSES, so i made a kung fu leap got a headshot and then shot the other dude in the chest. point of the story is, after we walked out of the place, the observing judge asked me, "dude, do you even feel pain??" i didn't think it hurt THAT badly... |
paintball rules...being able to take out your agression on total strangers is great...and you dont know pain until you've played un-regulated paintball where everyones guns are turned up to around 400fps when your done your not only bruised and sore...but your bleeding and missing a lot of skin as well...now that is fun

airsoft fan myself, own a sig p229
ive had bad experiences with paintball, namely because i suck, and so do my friends.
scene: @ friends 12th bday party or so
we go off to paintball against random ppl
ends up half of us get shot painfully by leet ppl. heck, i didnt even know how to shoot it
I rock at paintball. I've only placed twice with borrowed tippmans but I always ended up raping like half the other team, especially in speed ball. I took out their whole team twice in a row in speedball
.
Woods paintball is great, but the problem is finding a good patch of space to play in. If its too overgrown your shots wont get more than 15-20 feet before hitting a small twig and splattering open.
I've never played airsoft (tho I have fired one), but I wonder how they count the hits? You'd have to do it on the honor system since the BB's don't mark anyone - and I know I've taken hits in paintball before without even knowing it, because I was too pumped to notice. That doesn't even factor out cheaters.
its on the honor system
helps to know your enemies well (best friends.. etc..)
i've never played before. i've always wanted to but people keep telling me i'm gonna come back with all these bruises everywhere. i don't think i'm ready for that just yet!
I used to play a lot at Skirmish USA, near Jim Thorpe (highly recommended). It always struck me as odd that they give you this little safety breifing saying "Don't shoot anyone from closer than ten feet."
I look down at the box of paintballs and it says "Don't shoot anyone from closer than twenty feet."
So I'm army crawling through some high brush. Thought I heard something so I stop. All of a sudden I see this guy from the other team just stand up about ten feet away and shoot me in the top of the head which broke skin and started to bleed. Aaaahhh good times.
Try playing 24hr or 48hr scenario games, those are real fun. One time I saw about 10 green berets set up a crossfire and kill about 250 people, with only 4 berets going down.
Paintballing is awesome. I've only been once, but it was so much fun, if a little expensive. We had to wear these tiddley little masks that barely covered our faces, and in the first game, I got shot straight in the mouth. From a side angle as well, so my mask didn't really protect me at all. The paintball exploded in my face and I couldn't see jack shite.
Moral of the story: paintball paint tastes mingin'.
I played every once in a while .... not as often these days as I used too
i will probably go do this in 2 months. never done that before, i use to sneak on to the course and pick up the balls and then put em on ppl's chair's
one i they paintball ppl got me, but they were pretty cool
they let me shoot a couple of time
till the gun was empty, pretty cool, and a lot more acurate then i expected! (i killed a couple of tree's
how expencive is paintballing were you live?
here its 25 euro for a couple of hours, 100 balls for free
100 more balls is 12.50
I went paintballing once, and so far only once, last summer. Was terrific fun. I was really scared of getting hit, or doing anything but hiding behind a tree at first, but after I received my first paintball shot to the head, nothing really hurt after that. Towards the end of the day when my confidence had built up I was pretty good...If I do say so myself.
playing a tournament with real guns must be fun
