In terms of production

Which tune do you think has the best production
Not if you like it but solely in terms of production. i.e. how everything works together.

For me is

aalto - rush
GTR - Mistral

Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten remix) &
Cygnus X - The Orange Theme (Bervoets & De Goeij Mix), both flow so beautifuly and are amazing productions.

St. John vs. Locust - Mind Circles

Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL Remix)

actually, any JXL production
the sound he produces is absolutely amazing.

Good question I would say Sasha - Xpander, its an amazing song throughout, everything goes very well with each other

Bervoets & De Goeij Remix is ok but the main synth is just plain awful, gets annoying after a few listens. IMO Solar Stone Remix is better as a whole.

For a great production i'd say Chicane - Lost You Somewhere (Heliotropic Remix).

I don't think this can be measured, as every genre seems to look for the harmony of the layers in a different way. But there's one particular tune that impresses me production-wise:

Eboman - Psycho Crazed Donuts With Buddah

No words can describe this tune... it's as surprising and disturbing as being physically assaulted by a thousand flaming Dutch goats in your bedroom. Everything is so harmonically fitted, yet it's completely chaotic.

that is one amazing line

I'd have to say that most of Astral Projection's tracks are very well produced. They have like a ton of synths playing all at once and still it sounds very good.

Sasha - Xpander is also very well produced.

forbidden fruit, xpandar, dreamland

i'd say most of yahel's production is just soo professionally produced . . damn u can never spot a mistake there. avalanche for example

i also respect faraway project's production as for new artists.

affinity/circa forever/saltwater Helstrip '02 rocks!

Posted by Radagast on Apr-27-2004 14:53:

Man With No Name - Sly-Ed
Benz & MD - Dilation
Sasha - Xpander

Posted by Floorfiller on Apr-27-2004 15:03:

best producer of late is definitely

FRETWELL!!!!!!

this guy is great. all of his productions have deep layered sounds...very good shit if you haven't heard him. All of the little subtle things make his tracks amazing...

also,

Quivver - Space Manoeuvres Prt 3

had great production values...good job John

can't really say about past people, but BT & Sasha sounds about right...

WORD . . . too simple but not bad of course. i just classify it under "just another trance track".

Posted by sandstorm03 on Apr-27-2004 15:25:

definately, an ok production, but nothing out of the blue

Hehehe.. to be exact that should be Helstrip '00/'02 then as both of the Saltwater remixes were made in 2000; Ambient Mix featured on Behind The Sun CD, "House" Mix featured on the vinyl release. They were just released on a single for the first time in '02.
