i just bought an ipod
its an older model (10 gigs firewire on default) and i have to say i love it
any webpages out there with some useful downloads/links?
plz keep the batter comments out of here

I have the newer 20 gig model, bought it back in September or October I think. Sometimes I really love it, but other times I want to slap myself for paying $400 for it. It's really convenient to be able to have so much music with me, but at the same time the short battery life irritates me a bit. Makes it difficult to take it on long trips. Realistically, I should have bought an mp3-cd player, like I was originally planning to. Overall, though, I'm more or less satisfied with my iPod so far.

a tip with the ipod battery: charge it often, if you used it a bit, charge it, its better battery power close to full charge, this helps with battery life.

ive had mine for 2 years and i love it. i also have the old 10gig one. right now, the new 15gb version is cheaper than the old 10gig, so i dunno why you would want the old version.

i bought my 10gig for ~650, the new 15gig is ~400

Creative make a similar MP3 player (Creative Zen Xtra), that is 30GB for just under the price of the iPod 15GB model, and the battery is removable so you can replace it. Plus you don't have to use iTunes but you're probably stuck with Creative's software.

I own a 3G 10GB iPod and I fuckin love it, I'm going to make a direct connection to my head unit in my car, so that I can just plug in my pod when I get into my ride and the music never stops. I researched the battery issue prior to buying one, but decided I wanted the iPod anyways due to mainly to its user interface being so smooth!

i dont have an Ipod,, i have a Iriver HP120...but is sooo coool having an mp3 player...
