Hello! Autotuners and Pitch Changers

This isn't really about trance producing of sorts but I guess it is tied to it a little bit. I am into singing a bit, I sing to linkin park and a few other bands. Well I want to get into mild singing into my songs but my voice sounds like crap. I want to get a good auto tuner and pitch changer (incase I need to octave my voice). I have tried Antares Auto Tune but it doesn't seem to do the job as well as I would like and I am looking for a semi-simple and powerful alternative. If you have any suggestions, it would be appreciated greatly.

Take voice lessons?
easiest alternitive, would be a lot less effort in that than using an auto tuner etc. since those aren't fast enough to do real time usually.

From what I understand Antares Autotune is pretty much top of the line. If you're not getting good results with that, then yeah, get some singing lessons =P
