Thumbs down Tears of the Sun

I saw the movie "Tears of the Sun" today and now there is just one question that's bugging me: "Who financed it???"
I think that the only thing missing was the 1-800-GOARMY phonenumber at the end.

Yeah, well, the world puts up with Sean Penn's shit, so I think you can handle Bruce Willis for a couple of hours.

Imokruok, I think that you do not understand what we are talking about.

I once saw a documentary on TV, which said that the US army made equipment available to filmmakers free of charge - if, that is, the script was approved beforehand. Some movies, such as Independence Day, recieved little support, because the army wasn't portrayed in the most flattering manner.
So you might very well be right - the US army did sponsor the movie.

oh tears of the sun.. almost got me confused with rising sun and I'm like wtf is theis guy talkin about?

The Rising Sun was a really good moive.

My only real complaint about Tears of the Sun was they picked such an umber cool name for such a crapy flick.

Well that, and the fact that Monica Bellucci kept her clothes on through the whole movie... :P

Thats the spirit lads, lay down your lives under the flag of freedom, kinda weird dying for freedom when America tries to run the world in its own imperialist way.
