Hi !

anyone know a good vst for gating effect. I have scutbuzz , but it doesn't really synchronize well to tempo ( it does, but it sounds ugly ).

vanguard has it built in, (by refx), and I think Orion has it as a feature too... trancegate that is.

i know for fruity loops.. you can link a synth to a midi controller so that you can automate the volume and therefore gate a sound.. but i don't know for others..

I'll assume that by Scuttbuzz you meant Scuzzphut. Here's a sample of what I made with a pad being run by itself, then through Scuzzphut. Doesn't sound all that bad...

i use the fruity peak controller myself.

but you may try Floorfish by DigitalFishPhones, it comes with the free FishFillet package. (www.digitalfishphones.com)
or check AlliGater by Tobybear (www.tobybear.de)

i think www.databaseaudio.com has a whole section for free Gate-FX. perhaps you'll find some others there...

yeah all u need is a fruity peak controller and a gating rhythm

it took me ages to make one for symsonic using 2 3xoscs

so in the end, i just thought fuck this and use the built in trancegate in vanguard
