VESTAX QFO DJ TURNTABLE The QFO is a circular turntable with an integrated 2-channel mixer that was designed in collaboration with performance DJ QBert and Thudrumble's Yoga Frog. This new turntable/mixer provides DJs with a convenient, all-in-one scratch DJ tool for performance or practice. The QFO's high-torque turntable offers an ASTS (Anti-Skipping Tonearm System) tone arm and pitch control with multiple variations to select from. Also included are two start and stop buttons, which allow the user to create percussive start/stop moves with either hand. Each channel of the mixer section has a 2-band EQ, and a phono and input switch, allowing users to control the turntable on one channel and a CD player or other external source on the other. Additional mixer features include crossfader curve control, crossfader reverse, and input fader curve and reverse. WILL BE IN STOCK JUNE 2004! |

its for turntablists.
Its minging- period.
Looks like it should be in a kitchen and you would use it to make chips.
Too much shit that is on there that is simply not needed- turntablists are a fussy bunch- cant see them catching on, wih the exception of the scratch perverts.
And as technics sponsor the DMC world champs.....well....its hardly gonna be prevalent there is it.
I don't like straight tonearms.
Aside from that, while it looks neat, it seems to me that it has a lot of extra features that are pretty useless and are only there to drive up the price. Just give me a reliable table with a decent torque and a good pitch control, be it Vestax, Technics, Numark, whatever. Turntablists can keep that one.

you do have to wonder tho....what kind of cool features will be on this thing.
saw Q-bert hammering on this thing at a show some time ago, been trying to track it down since. what that kid can do with one of these is mind blowing.

I personally think it's pretty fugly, I think a better question might be "what kind of crack has Vestax been smoking recently?"

i don't want to know how much that thing costs...

That looks to me like the playskool of turntables. I will stick with my Technics.
Yeah but thouse are portable, just imagine DJ Busking..... hang a pair of them round your neck have a nice acid filled car battery in a backpack(and DC>AC converter) it's the future
Ohh forgot the speakers, actually wait a second are they not the ones that have speakers in them?
That playskool looking turntable is used for sample diggers. Runs on batteries & has internal speakers. Basically so u can carry it around diff. record stores, pawn shops, etc. & listen b4 u buy if the store doesnt have "turns". Mainly used for hiphop DJs.
Disco Stu would spin with those....oooh!
