How far would you go to attend a gig?

How much money and time are you willing to spend on your music?

If I had the money I would go around the world attending various parties every night.

if i also had the money, i would attend all the big dance events - dancevalley, mysteryland, loveparade, ultra, etc...but just now i can only afford to stay in my country

its always an issue w/ $$$ for most of us heh

Yeah, money is the problem, if I had it, I'd go everywhere...

Money is always a problem but I have been in another country to go to a gig, Cream in Liverpool twice and Godskitchen in Edinburgh - all awesome nites, the travellin just adds to the excitment

another province

a few weeks ago i travelled to Holland for Armada Night, but the Benelux is quite small, so Holland doesn't really count as an other country. in terms of distance that is of course.

Well for exclusevely attend a gig maxium I travelled to a neighbouring city, but then I travelled to another province for holidays and at the same time I went to events, but I don't travel to another region/state exclusevely for go to a event.

Where I live, I really don't go out much.

But I would either go to another state or province to have fun at a gig.

Love Parade every year baby! It's a 10 hour drive, we always go there with a bunch op people ( a group of 20 ), I even enjoy the ride! It's a 4-day trip, and I'm always a wreck during the following week. But it's worth it.

Two years ago we wanted to take the plane to England to attend Gatecrasher Summer Sound (or what's it called), but we cancelled it the last minute

I dono depends of the DJ and my monetary resources

Posted by trancebrat on Apr-13-2004 17:40:

I would love to go overseas even just to go clubbing and especially if they had a whole bunch of DJ's doing some huge event together...but who am I kidding?! Time, money, job, and everything else in my life limits what I can do so I would have to say just to another state. I've definitely done my share of road trips and they have all been well worth it! Furthest that I've gone has only been a couple of states away. Thank God for things like Ultra...keeps it close to home.

I've travelled to thesalloniki to watch tiesto spin and am from Athens. About hm..530km if I'm not mistaken, by train. That's about 6 hours

Posted by halexander837 on Apr-14-2004 14:54:

To tell you the truth, I would go between state and province.

Often travel around the country to go 2 different places, but would def go abroad if could afford it

Posted by latebloomer on Apr-15-2004 01:24:

Sounds like we're all saying the same thing...$$$, job, real life can be rather prohibiting, BUT if those weren't a factor, I go to all the big shin-digs!! I guess I am lucky living in Chicago...big names roll through here regularly. We get our fix of live music fairly often!

Kind of difficult to rationalize going to another country just to attend an event when you live in the US. But when I have visited Europe I made sure I attended events/clubs.
