Technics MK2 1210 & 1200

hi all,

anyone can explain me the difference between these turntables ? The Technics SL1200 MK2 and the SL1210 MK2 ?

thanks in advance

1210 is the European version of 1200...it has a voltage switch 110v/230v

Actualy both have voltage selector... the only difference is that the 1200 is silver and the 1210 is black.

i can have two of this turntable for about 930$, is it a correct price ? (still packaged & 1 year guarantee)

You can get a new Pair of 1210's for about 800$, so it's not a good price.

thanks for urls... and what can i buy to have a good mixer but no too expansive ?

A very good and not expensive mixer is the Roland DJ-1000.. it's a 2 channel mixer with an awesome filter section, good EQ, very good sound quality, very durable, very very reliable. it costs 325$-400$.

If you want a 3 channel mixer at that price range check out the Vestax PMC-270.. it's a very good mixer, has split cue, great sound, built like a tank, very reliable.

If it's too expensive for you check out the Gemini UMX-9 and the Stanton RM-100... they both are good mixers for a resonable price. they are about 250$-300$.

thanks a lot alonzo for all theses informations. i just have a little question, it's all 2 channels mixers, but everytime with one more for the mic, right?

You welcome!

And all of them have a MIC in.. don't worry about this.

is there any others pioneer or technics mixers, than the DJM500 & 600, or th 1200 ? something cheaper, more simple ?

There is a cheaper Pioneer mixer.. the DJM-300, it's about 300$-350$, but for that price you can get the Vestax or the Roland which are a bit better... but this mixer is also a quality mixer.

There is a cheaper mixer from Technics too, but it's a scratch mixer.. not compatible for trance mixing.. the model is SH-DJ1200 and it sells for about 250$.
