Music/Engineering Universities in the UK

I've been a uni student in the US for the past year and a half...and I'm on exchange @ Bath Uni right now. I'm thinking about transferring to a UK uni for a full degree. I was wondering if anyone might recommend good unis for Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or perhaps some place with a good programs along the lines of the technical end of music.

I know Bath's EE program is supposedly one of the best, but this city is terribly boring. I was hoping for something along the lines of Birmingham or London, or somewhere else where I can catch a good DJ without an expensive coach/rail ride.

I've already done a little bit of research. Is Birmingham uni's engineering program any good? Also, does anyone know much about Kingston University/Gateway School of Recording's Audio Technology and Music Industry Studies program? It seems a bit interesting.

Hello!

check out middlesex university or sae.edu, that is where i went. Word of advice, dont waste your time and money going into the music business is shit. When u get out its hell trying to find a job and when u find that first job they dont pay u and make u work like 70 hours a week. Then when they finally do start paying u its only like $7 an hour. IF u want to spend the rest of your life working like a slave then this is the field for u.
