Verges is issuing a warning

Verges, known French criminalist, who wants to defend Saddam Hussein, was interviewed on French Canadian TV today. He said that there's good chances that Hussein might be killed with a "heart attack" or "brain lesion"... because bringing him to trial would bring lots of shame to the US administration mainly because in a fair trial the person who should sit next to him in the box is Rumsfeld...

... so and accident could happen and don't be surprised if that trial never happens.

Yeah, I'm guessing that it wouldn't be in the US's best interests to see Saddam stand trial due to the cozy relationship they had for several decades. Several individuals from several past administrations could be indicted for their complicity in - amongst other things - the Iran / Iraq war and the gassing of the Kurds if Saddam does speak openly in front of the court.

hope not, i think his trial will be fun... i mean how should he try to defend himself? what will the punishment be? etc. sounds like good tv to me
