Why Gatecrasher to Crasher

Just asking if anyone knows why Gatecrasher seems to be changing their name to just "CRASHER" , some of the logos used to have the 'Gate' bit crossed out so just crasher could be read but now the new live album is just called "Crasher live" and doesnt actually have Gatecrasher written on the cd or case at all.

anyone know ?? I reckon Gatecrasheris better than just Crasher

To give themselve a new image, a new brand as such

I could have misread but..
Didn't someone mention in one of the threads that Scott Bond and some of the resident contributing dj's to gatecrasher have left the building

I think they also mentioned that this is why they changed their logo to crasher

i tihnk its something to do with the fact that gatecrasher live went bust, and so they had to change the name for business reasons.

where gatecrasher nights were held was call the republic but they renamed the club to gatecrasher one and it now plays out cheesy pop and house music all week
they put on a trance event called crasher once in a blue moon now.
theyve basicly renamed it to keep the two places seperate

To prolong the product life cycle..

It's like renaming any other commercial product. If people see a new name they think it's going to be fresh and so maybe give it a try, when really it's the same tired line ups they've had for the past 3 years.

Don't get me wrong gatecrasher in it's day was the best, but over commercialisation and inability to diversify the music policy has lead to it's downfall.
