is quite thick (I think)

anyway thanks but that's not what I had in mind, I prefer something not so 'longrun'

use hair straighter..

get a bottle and read the directions.

Its kinda like bleaching your hair, except it burns your hair like peroxide until it's straight. your hair isn't really damaged unless you went gung-ho crazy with hair color.

Its funny, most people with straight hair like their hair not to be straight and people who haven't got straight hair want it to be straight.

I don't think you can straighten your hair, probably eating the right foods will probably make it more healthier but not fully straight.

I have the same problem. My hair is "supposively strait" or so they say. Yet, after I get out of the shower it's curly as hell. I blow dry it and wow, then I run for that straightener. I straighten it and it still isn't like "china woman hair."
-There are some alternatives; professional treatment-they use a solution and you go in every six months or so. My friend kaylee does that. The only downside is you might lose your hair.
--also you can straighten it everyday, yet they recommend to only straighten your hair 3-4 times a week so it doesn't fry and dry out (even more.)
---You also can use the short hair alternative.
I find that using hair products that "straighten" do not work. Then after using all that cakey crap, it makes your hair so oily you have to wash the next day again. Which leads to the fact that if you have thick hair you should only wash your hair 3-4 times a week.

I hope this helps some. I just straighten every other day. Works for me. If it doesn't work for you try an alternative or be happy with what you have.
ps. There's a book at barnes and nobles for this problem most of us have. lol. I was bored when I was there one day with my sister (reading anime) and picked it up and skimmed through it. Actually pretty informing, just wouldn't pay 20 bucks for it.

ironing your hair is very bad. with that said i dunno what else you can do to straighten your hair without badly damamging it.

anybody know what to do with straight hair? i kinda want a different texture or style for my head but it only grows straight, absolutley no curls, kinks, bends, waves or anything. my hair is like freakin grass.

HALP!

Use gel?

you know you can buy a hair straightner... it is kinda like a curling iron only it is has a straight flat iron on it. Girls with hair between curly and straight use it all the time. It works miracles!

They sell hair relaxers at wallgreens and they really do work...they make it really straight even if u have the curliest hair!!...try not to get it on ur skin cuz it would burn...ull see the directions...just go to wall greens and ask for hair relaxer

Since curly or wavy hair is genetic, you're bound to use chemicals or some physical means to constantly straighten it. Even if you cut it short, it will soon grow back to its old form. Take for instance the difference between African and Asian womens' hair. On the opposite extreme, if you have straight hair and want waves, curls, etc. you're bound to use chemicals or some other physical means to get it that way - temporarily.

take your hair to church every Sunday, and purge it of all its homosexual tendencies.

Then, your hair will be straight

1. straightening shampoo + conditioner
2. anti-frizz/straightening balm
3. flat iron thingies
4. go to an asian salon and ask for your hair to be straightened. i say asian cause specially in china, japan and korea, they have this funky method in which the straightened hair lasts for 4-5 months cause their procedures are diff than the ones offered in american salons

edit: quite costely too, $150-200

if your hair is long enough, use an Ionizer hair dryer and a flat hairbrush.

DO NOT do that! I've done it b4 and it damaged my hair horribly! Opt for a hair straightener w/ diff heat levels on it, that way u dont completely FRY ur hair out. Plus, with the heat on both sides, it's gives a more slick look. My hair is slighty wavy and dried out lookin, n I got split ends, but here's wut I do to make my hair look silky/shiney/str8....

1.) VO5 Hot Oil Treatment in the shower
2.) Run a LEAVE-IN conditioner thru wet hair
3.) Let AIR DRY [NO BLOWDRYERS! B/C u'll be using a flat iron later, and u dont wanna OVER-FRY ur hair]
4.) Flat Iron hair

FLAT IRON tip:
+ Make sure sections are small. If the sections are too thick, the heat won't penetrate thru evenly, and it will take longer to get the coarse, bumpy ends str8...The smaller and thinner teh sections, the str8er and silkier it is...
+ And go over the section more than once!
+ When u get to the end of the hair, curl the iron UNDER so the ends turn inward slighty...TRUST me, this makes it look WAY BETTER than if it were just bone straight. The ends dont look as spikey or however u wanna put it...

If u want ur hair str8 theres no way to do so without heat or chemicals. But theres plenty o products to HELP conceal it from the heat even the least bit...And yes relaxers DO work, but I recomend having a professional do it FOR you. Hope u get the hair u want!
