Quick speaker problem
K so i got my technics and stanton mixer and they work fine. for a while i had the mixer going through my TV on its aux setting since i didn't have speakers, but just recently i picked up some crap ones from the salvation army for 16/pair. anyways, i got the cords to hook up the speakers' old wires (300 ohm or something, the ones where you have to screw in the like two pronged fork thingy) and change those to RCA, and i got them hooked up and they play, but the volume's reeeeeally low no matter what i do and i can't figure it out. i've tried plugging the speakers into master, booth, etc and i get the loudest (albeit by not much) through booth, but when i turn the cue volume all the way up i can still hear the sound just as loud from my headphones when they're sitting on the table
anyone know whats up?
Are you not using an amplifier???? sounds like you are hooking them up directly to your mixer. Your mixer goes to an amp with a line in and then you can hook up your speakers.
dont you need an amp to run those speakers?
aaaah
shit
any recommendations for cheap amps?
dude, you can buy a decent sony reciever/amp and a 2pair of speakers for dirt cheap mate.
