30, 40, 50 years from now...

Kind of a queerish question, but seriously. Trance and even all type of dance music have only been around for 15 or so years. Im am not trying to speak for all of you, but most of us are prolly between 18 and 30. Do you think when we are all parents, we will all be jammen to trance music with our kids on are way to their football games?!!? I dont know bout u guys, but I cant ever see my self getting tired of this music.

I got tired of most trance and now am listening to house, techno, and progressive... and I used to be all about "trance is the best" "everyting but trance sucks" and so on. So while i'd like to think i'll be listening to electronica at an older age, I really have no guarantees.

I shift between trance, progressive, house, and chillout... but i think i will be sticking with most electronica... the way its going now... nearly all music will be electronic music. but thats just a theory.

well, if you're referring to electronic dance music, it is over 30 years old.

but dance music is thousands of years old. the first music ever done by cavemen was dance music. dance music has evolved in history parallel to the technology being developed. so yes, edm is here to stay forever unless there is a new Dark Age or something were technology is vanished.
of course, the trance sound from today will sound really retro and old fashioned 50 years from now, but the dance music that will exist then will definitely be electronic.

You will need it loud as possible just to hear it.

True Dat

At age 40 I'll still enjoy my EDM
Even in my later years, no matter what EDM evolves to, I'll be listening to it, Loud and Proud

My kids (if I ever have any) are just going to have to get used to the idea that I'm a hip parent
