Is there anything safe to smoke that's not illeagal?

Yea, is there anything in this world that you can smoke that's both safe(so no marbolo or any other cigarrette brands) and legal in the US(all drugs aren't unless by prescription at this time of year)? I mean, cigarrette's give you lung cancer and kill your social life, and dope is too expensive and if your parents find you you're dead meat. Is there anything safe to smoke?




Don't ask why I want to know this, I just do.

i'm pretty sure there isnt. i mean, how can burning particulates in your lungs be a good thing?

though if you really want to smoke something maybe you can try cloves? i personally dont like them and prefer cigs but at least they dont have the nicotine...

Djarum cloves PWNS cigs anyday.

They taste better, don't have the nicotine like Butterfly said, and you actually get a 'mini' buzz from them. They smell nice too.


Only downside is the price. Cloves can go from 5-6 bucks, but I've heard there are certain U.S. States where the price is the same for cigs.

sure...that stuff u can smoke in those arab places i think it's called "hooka" but theres prolly another name for it...that flavored smoke..i don't think its bad for you, n it tastes good.

$5-6 is less than i pay for cigs. last time i checked they were like $7.50 a pack. though it depends where you live...

usually it is just flavored tobacco and i think it is probably just as bad as an other kind of tobacco.

I believe it was $5 a pack in NY. That's what a friend told but I don't talk to him very often.


I'm in FL, I think it's the chepeast here, like $3-4?

new york went up to about $7 or $8 lst year, $10 in bars.... i was still able to find them for $5.50 in NJ but i think they hiked the taxes there since i quit. it is really insane.

That sure IS insane! I don't smoke cloves very often but I am definetly sticking to that, healthwise and moneywise!

Too bad cloves are more of a health hazard than cigarettes, lol.

The tobacco used in Djarums (which makes up 60-70% of the cigarette) contains twice as much tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide as in a regular cigarette.

It's called sheesha, and you smoke it from a hookah pipe, basically a 2 foot or bigger water bong. The sheesha itself comes in many different fruit flavors and looks like molasses. It's not nearly as bad for you as cigarettes, but I'm not gonna lie and say its good for you. However if you want a nice buzz with the least damage this is probably the way to do it. I myself own a two foot hookah and my roomate owns a 3 footer. It's also a million times smoother than cigs and comes in flavors like apple, grape, lemon, mango, jasmine, etc...

where do nicotine come from??

do the drug companies put it in the cigs, or is it naturally in the tabacco, or is there a conspiracy theory, that the companies say the nicotine comes from the plant, but really they're lying and putting it in themselves so as to make more money??

There is nothing safe to smoke. When you smoke you are putting foreign substances into your lungs which are made to only take in air.

1 clove is worse for your lungs than one cigarette, but not by much.
its the smoke and the molecules in the smoke that are bad for you, not the nicatiene. nicatiene is just the drug that keeps you physically addicted.

hookah i also hear is better for you than a cigarette. but when you smoke hookah you generally smoke it over a much longer period than a cigarette so it may end up doing just as much damage in the long run.

you could smoke stogies, you don't inhale them so they aren't that bad for your lungs. but they can still can increase the risk of throat and other cancer in the mouth (as can anything else you smoke).

so your outta luck friend.

smoking a hookah or a cig or stogie every now and then isn't gonna hurt you though.

and also if smoking cigarettes "kill your social life" then you need to find new friends anyway who aren't so uptight and boneheaded to not befriends with you because you smoke.

I smoke cloves, and they are far better than regular cigarettes. They actually have a nice taste. The best ones are Djarum Bali Hai, cherry ,and vanilla or Sweet Dreams cherry. She's right, the cloves don't have nicotine in them, but they do have fiberglass which might be equally as bad.

hey here is an idea, how about we smoke illegal stuff and say it was legal and not bad for u.... STOP COMPLANING!!!! AND TOKE UP!!!

In Canada it like $10 in stores and $15 in bars.

sweet dreams = crappy flavored cigs.

Cloves = good taste, but i find that it just wrecks my throat and lungs. Also the buzz you get from cigs is much better.

sheesha is probably the smoothest option of all the smoking things that people were talking about. Very smooth, no nicotine in it. However, hookahs are meant to used in chill lounging environs, where you just sit there chat with your friends and puff away for hours on end.

I used to go to this arabic place in Anaheim and my friends would each pony up like 4-5 bucks for a big bowl of sheesha and a hookah for each of us, we'd sit there puff away, chat and gamble for a couple of hours. But at the end of the night, i'd start to get this weird phantom cough if i went back for more puffs. This cough was weird in the senst that it wasn't a smokers cough, it felt more like a cough you would get if you've spent all day in the public pool and the chlorine got to you.

You guys really need to do some research before throwing out statements like this. Cloves cigarettes are made with Indonesian tobacco which have a higher concentration of nicotine and tar. Normally, Indonesian tobacco has twice as much nicotine (30mg vs 15mg) as the average cigarette, but the tobacco only comprises a little over half of the cigarette so it's about the same amount of nicotine overall.
