Taxes

Just finished my taxes what a mind f*ck. Since I'm self-employed my taxes complicated as hell! I'm going to down a beer to celebrate!

Any of you last minute blokes still need to do your taxes?

my taxes are never too bad since i only have one straightforward job. working summers means almost no refund...and i still use turbotax cause thinking is lame. esp when i should use it for things other than taxes|

unfortunately i had no refund and had to fork over $156 to the IRS + $24 for H&R Block software. No roulette wheel for me, I'm already cleaned out.

I hope you remembered to deduct your Tax prep software...if you itemized

Refund this year was $950...bought my CDJ-800 and a new mixer...still had about 1/3 left for other things / savings...all the income and the bills blend together in the end.

I would love to see the face of someone doing that and having it land on black.

Woohoo! I am going to get $1500 back in my tax refund after the end of the financial year (30 June).

In Australia, we have a progressive tax rate, where income tax is charged at a different rate depending on your level of income. If you earn under $6000 per year, you shouldn't have to pay any tax, but i have had $1500 taken out of my pay, so i will get it all back!!!!

Heh- well- it's the same in US.
here you could claim EXEMPT though and just get it back right away if you knew you were only going to make that much.
