Tiesto losing his style?

I just wanna know from u guys if u thing Tiesto is losing his producing style or wot. Do u think he is worthy of the #1 dj spot this year, cause imo he isnt...not just yet. Nobody can argue that over 2002 he was simply amazing, but with his remix of BT - Force of Gravity, his production seems to be getting a little stale(Ferry Remix sounds 10x better!!!!!!). And wots this rumor im hearing over the past few years that Tiesto hasnt actually produced tracks like Traffic and Flight 643, rumor has it that some other dj's helped him produce it and Tiesto just takes the credit. I hope thats not true!!

you cant be #1 forever .... dude is getting married he's also getting old too , maybe his family is first priority now .

He produced amazing stuff in his career , you can't just expect someone to be top shape all the time . Just give him a break, and respect .

#1 Carl Cox 1996-1997
#1 Paul Oakenfold 1998-1999
#1 Sasha 2000
#1 John Digweed 2001
#1 DJ Tiesto 2002-????

If history teaches us anything it will be very likely that Tiesto will be supplanted by a new DJ in 2004 for the top spot considering no one has ever three-peated as DJ Mag #1 DJ.

From what I've seen it's just the jealous blobs putting people down. It's not just Tiesto-specific since I've seen it been said about other people too and I've never seen any proof of it.

armin van buuren should never be #1, he cant keep you going for more then 2 hours max. Just the same shit over and over again. Mabe someday people will learn.

tiesto didnt remix force of gravity

If PvD isnt no.1 at the end of this year then its a farce! As for tiesto's style i would say he is experimenting an awful lot, as is ferry corsten with his electro style type of thing, i reckon they are looking for that a new but unique sound , only time will tell as to who gets it first.

tiesto feat bt - love comes again

`nuff said.

dj sammy for #1.

tiesto will be one again after the release of just be

Posted by Eduardo on Apr-13-2004 12:45:

You must be joking

Tiesto forever.....mmmm maybe van dyk also but nothing more.

I hope tiesto wins. van dyk is great but he just doesnt look at the people he plays great music but he does it as if he was thinking "oh not again!"

Posted by Kaiser on Apr-13-2004 13:39:

eRRaTiK, u need ur fucking ears tested!

Posted by noonboy on Apr-13-2004 14:21:

ehm...like the others said, you can't keep expecting evolution from one man forever.

Tiesto was my first love in electronic music too, but you can't keep depending on one producer for your whole musical life. Try exploring the genre, and hopefully you'll find that many producers that had their big break in the early 90's are not as good today. Tolerate it.

All the big djs have been around since the start, Tiesto & Armin are the first big name djs to have broken into that elite & they play the most popular and accessible music in the world today. They wont be going anywhere unless they give it up.

Posted by Electronicmaji on Apr-13-2004 19:11:

of course top djs are rated by popularity as a DJ and not really producer...

Dj Tiesto is a good dudeee yoooo

I like love comes again and um tiesto only produced it while armin actaully played it in a set

Posted by Ste on Apr-13-2004 20:00:

he is better now than he was in 2002. in 2002 he played shit dull tunes galore.

Posted by sleepydragon on Apr-13-2004 21:04:

tiesto lost it a long time back

I am in shock that nobody flamed you (dont worry im not gunna) people should have their own opinions.

I personally believe that while tiesto is a great DJ and totally gets into his music, Im not sure that he puts on that great of a show to deserve #1, in fact im not sure why most of these trance DJs deserve #1-5 is it because they find good tracks? When I saw corsten here a month ago, I saw him trainwreck like 8 times. Ive also seen tiesto wreck, they dont have insane skills at mixing, they do have good timing and know when to bring what up and read the crowd...they also create great remixes and origonals. But I dont know, I would just expect somone with more "skill" to be #1 like..Carl Cox definately deserves it. That guy can rock tha fuckin house. (I do love trance more than any other kind of music, I produce it and spin it and know that it doesn't take all that much mixing skill...It does take good timing and an ear for key...there is a lot of waiting, and not all that much mixing. Listen to any tiesto mix CD and tell me he does a 2-4 minute mix (like 2 tracks layered for 2-4 minutes continually)..ever? Has he ever spun on more than 2 tables? Anyway, anyone who can provide insight into this mystery would be very helpful. And i know im going to get flamed *puts up flame shield*.
