Dumbass MIS professor...
So I took a test last Thursday in my management information systems class. Here's one of the true/false questions:

i think its SFTP and/or FTP, but im not completely sure.
if you wanna find out, get a software firewall monitor what ports are being used when you send an email with an attachment. Or try blocking port 21 and SFTP port.

Screw the professor. Screw the dean. Go straight to the press and show the world why the American educational system is failing. Be sure to specifically name your professor. That'll teach him.

you should get a load of a 'professor' who wants us all to fail
he wants to go through the whole MIT book with us, which even MIT doesn't do and they explicitly state in the book that IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO COVER THE WHOLE BOOK IN ONE SEMESTER
he doesn't teach us anything
when a student asked him to clarify something he went to the board and then said, "by the way, this would make a great quiz question" - take a student question and make it a quiz?
or
"we've never done sorting but i think we should have a quiz on it"
wtf?
and he gives us like 4 hours of homework 3 times a week and we just HATE HATE HATE him, but there's nothing really that we can do, only hope that he curves the grades, half of which are below failing

^^^ take what you have, apply it to ALL EIGHT classes PER semester, and you have my year at this university.
And it's no joke, our year really does get screwed - I'm taking one 3rd-year class along with my 4th-year classes, which was apparently one of the hardest classes last year (many people failed), and it was a JOKE. Easier than any of the 3rd-year classes I took, didn't even have to really learn any theory at all. The working theory is that someone in our graduating class dumped the Associate Dean's daughter, or something like that.
As for the MIS professor, he's an idiot, but so are a lot of professors. Especially when you're in a first or second year class (which I guess is any class if you're in college, you didn't specify college or university), half of these professors don't even specialize in the area that they teach. So you can pretty much expect the worst. Just take it to the department head, and if you don't get a response, take it to the dean (or the media
).

z = R + xc

The right answer
yt = yr + yc
1/z = 1/R + 1/xc <- subsutution
(1/z)^-1 = (1/R + 1/xc)^-1
z = (1/R)^-1 + (1/xc)^-1
z = R + xc
therefore
z = R + xc.
