Cosmic Gate - No More Sleep?
Worth buying? Or is it too cheesy?
...
What IS it like?
Well, eight of the twelve tracks are awesome and the majority of us here have heard almost all of those eight. My only gripe with the Disc is that the tracks average about 5 minutes in lenght. So as you're barely getting into the track, all of a sudden it ends and the next one comes on.
So
Pros: great tracks, i own it
Cons: tracks too short
i didn't buy it although i could have had it for about 10 at this one discount. and there were 2 reasons for not buying it
1. it's copy protected
2. it's mostly short edits
i hate both those with passion!
i have their first album rhythm & drums though and i think it's great! good long tracks mostly and no copy protection. all in all i think the tracks on the first album are much better than on the second one. so i wouldn't buy the album at full price even if it weren't copy protected and the tracks were long versions.
i hope this helped somehow!
Rhythm and Drums is better IMO. Get that instead (if you dont already have it.)
Yup, I have RnD already... And yeah, it's good... a bit raw though, if you get my point.
If you own a record player go with teh 2x12"
I thought Cosmic Gate were mostly producing cheese these days...
Last track I heard from them was Exloration of Space, ok but a bit cheesy..

Yeah, Exploration of Space was new about 3 years ago. They just released some new tracks though, Ultra Curve and Tomorrow. Ultra Curve has more of a prog sound to it, while Tomorrow has that unmistakeable Cosmic Gate sound. And is that Bill Clinton's voice being used for Tomorrow's lyrics?
Clinton > Bush
