Cool OceanLab - Satellite (Luke Terry Remix)

Did this remix ages ago, December time, couldn't be arsed to send it off for the comp seeing as I used their melody but wanted a version with some stronger bass and using the vocals as the tune kicks in rather than just in the break. I dunno, enjoy, hate, use, abuse, whatever, it's all yours

Luke

edit: for some reason it's 256k, i have no idea why, im sure i set the encoder on 192k

Nice remix Luke! yours adds something different from the orginal, i shall be using and abusing this one

Are the vocals use used different to the original Luke??

I don't like the song itself cos of the drivel lyrics, but you've done a great job with this remix dude, thought they are growing on me i guess.

BTW It's really good to see you putting your moolah where your mush is Luke, this is like the third 192 you've put up here recently and really encouraging others to do likewise, getting some life into this forum.

Nice one!

Hello!

yet another great production. think some bits are a bit too similar too the original thou.

Posted by Jay M on Apr-14-2004 11:49:

Yeh i like this one too. But I don't like the kick in some way.. maybe because it hasn't got that much high. I think I'd love it when you put a closed hat on it.

Anyway, I like the clubby hihats and the filters on 'em.

Yep, a keeper.

this song itself is such a summer song, omg i cant wait to get in ma car in the summer and just drive down to the beach and blast this song on the highway, with open windows and be like YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

anyways , GREAT remix i love the new melody u added onto the beginning, its better than the original version where they have that annoying melody in the beginning, just gets on my nervs
great remix,

peace out

Me Likes... At some points it reminds me of the original though dunno if it good or bad...

Cool stuff Luke, I like the punchyness of your bassdrums. The production is on the whole, excellent - synths sound very good.

So production values are not a problem here, I do however feel you could add something a bit new to the track? It demonstrates your skills as a producer, but maybe just take it to that next level?

cheers dunc, when i did it back in november/december i just wanted to basically do the original but have the vocals kick in differently, which i despised by the time i had finished it heh.

onto the next thing ey

solid work. i've only heard the A&B mix of Satellite, and to me this doesnt offer anything new

That's cool then... a bit of a "PvD" style remix.
