Unhappy Screen died

My cell phone (Motorola v60) got a little wet yesterday and it looks like some water got in to the screen area. The background light works, but the screen doesn't show any text. I let the phone dry overnight and it's still not working

Any way of fixing this, I'm guessing something got fried in there...

no clue how 2 fix it, but that reminds me of when i let ym friendhave my cell phone and he threw it down on the cement, and then the screen broke off (it was a flip phone) and i could talk 2 people but i couldnt hear them. I brought it into Verizon and the guy was like well seems how i like you i will give you a new on, for free! i was like YAY you saved me 500 dollars!!!!

Yeah, I doubt I'm gonna get one for free though, looks like I'm gonna have to buy a new one

I have a V120 they are said to be more sturdy then other cell phone.

Coincidence; I went canoeing this weekend, boat tipped over and my cell phone got soaked...

It was working mildy the day after but with time the screen should dry up. Put it close to a heather that'll help.

And DO NOT! Put it in a microwave I said that as a joke to my friend and he did that to his cell ... the lcd ink blew up so now when you look at the screen it looks like an ink splash

try replacing the battery first...it worked for mine when i dropped it into a glass of water.

The only thing funnier than that is if you called the phone while it was being microwaved.

How did you get it out?

Posted by Wildfir3 on Apr-14-2004 20:36:

heard about a drunk guy at a lanparty having the same problem last weekend... he took it out with his hand, he was too drunk to think about the fact that a few 100 nerds had already peed/shit in it.

haha it wasnt me... there was a thread awhile back talking about cell phones or something..

anyways this guy posted that he was in the john of a public restroom or something and it had super suction flushing (like the water immediately gets sucked down the tube kind of like on airplanes and such)

and he said he stood up and flushed just as his phone fell out of his jacket..

i dont think he got it back

Nah, the phone works, it's just the screen that doesn't. Like that I can't access my phonebook, etc

Which one do u have and how much are u selling it for?

Even though I want to talk to AT&T first, see what they say.

Yeah, I also read in the newspaper about this guy (might be the same one), he was in the toilet in a train, and when he was flushing it the phone fell in. The smart guy then put his arm in the toilet to look for his cell and got stuck. Imagine, the fire dept. had to come and cut everything out
