"It is with great regret that we have to announce there definitely won't be a Love Parade in Berlin this year," organizer Loveparade Berlin GmbH said in a statement"

One of the companies co sponsoring the event has "jumped the gun" as they say, the other company is still in negotiations plus I just think it's a publicity stunt...it'll be on...

Just a heads up for those that might be organizing their trip around Loveparade, that it may not happen and think up of a "Plan B" just in case.

that sucks! A similar thing happened to the Vienna Love Parade last yr. They cancelled it since they could not get enough sponsors. well! there r lots of festivals to hit in Europe. Nature One. Creamfields Prague and Poland. I'm sure there are more

i don't think it's officially cancelled yet, but there was a large debate whether last year's would happen, and it did.

besides, the parade itself isn't so hot. it's the night time sets around the siegesaulle that was pretty cool - but every dj only got 20 minutes and it's over by midnight. what makes loveparade weekend so great are all of the parties, and parade or no parade, these will still happen!

berlin is a GREAT city, and with all the parties, it would still be a worthwhile experience.
