Armin's Transportation?

Alright well I was reading about how the people who saw Armin at Virgin in NYC stopped him when he was hailing a cab... so I was thinking how does he get around to his venues after he arrives at the airport.

Now, thinking of this, I came up with a bright idea, or at least what I think is a bright idea... I thought that since I am in possession of some fine automobiles, I could offer to give Armin rides when he is in Vancouver, if his manager agreed and if Armin agreed or if he any sort of car fanatic... so I emailed the booking guy off the address on his site, cause hey, its worth a shot...

what do you guys think? is it at all possible or probable?

I remember Sean picked him up from his hotel when he was here last summer and brought him to the Ta meetup. I"m not sure how he got to the hotel in the first place though, probably a cab.

Yeah I guess so, but I'd be more than happy to fill in... and I doubt they could supply some of these cars...

However, and a few other TAs got to take Armin out to Banff his first time here
my friend (will d in calgary) got to do exactly what you are talking about with Mauro and Jake back in 01

I got to drive Hyper in my car..that was interesting(5 of us+3 record bags in a VW golf...I nearly bottomed out!)

Talk to the promoters, its generally their responsability.

I'd love to drive anyone really lol, but Armin in particular... do you know which promoter, or an e-mail address, that I could contact to ask them?

How did you get to drive hyper, and same with your friend in calgary?

I have three 2 seaters, but a 4 seater as well... so it shouldnt be a problem i guess

my friend worked for the promoter

see whos doing the show (ie twisted whatever)
approach them.

the promoters send a driver to get the DJ's to the airport hotel, the show, back to the hotel, and back to the airport.

i got to pick up armin at the airport, and then take him to banff a few days later cuz i was working with the promotion compmnay at the time, if you want to drive armin just hook yourself up through the promoters, when dj's and their managers come to town for gigs they usually only deal with the promoters, and if you have nice cars im sure they will want to talk to you about it.

yeh, they ask you how old u r, what kind of car u drive (doesnt have to be a benzo, as long as its dependable)..

On the April 10th
My friend was driving a MB S55 pick up Armin at the airport and then drive him to the hotel for a quick shower , and then pick him up again to Plaza

The plane arrive to Canada on the 12:00 am , and he stayed at the hotel for 15 mins , Rush and Funny that he actaully arrived plaza at 12:55

that's very close to his show was on 1:00 sharp and he made up for the rush

It should always be up to the promoter to arrange transportation. I couldn't even imagine what kinda a promoter would have their headliners have to find their own way down.

On a side note. I was only lucky enough to have Jon The Dentist in my car. Sketchy Focker. And its only a 92 Shadow so its not like he was riding in style or anything.
