car insurance
how much of u have it and how much do u pay for it?? im just wondering since well, i need some and would like to know what are probably the best/cheapest companies for car insurance...
4701 a year. full coverage
primary driver on a 94 cutlass
secondary on 99 alero (my car)
if you have no tickets, call belair direct or president's choice
best rates.
if you have tickets or claims, you're at everyone's mercy
im paying about $2600/year for my 97 jetta.
i go through The Personal insurance company. they gave me the best rate...some of the other quotes were ridiculous!
steve.
1400 a year on a 97 golf
+glass coverage+my stereo is covered
I have 1 ticket
meloche monex(theyve got a website)
its an alumni association rate..yay!
Im just about to buy a Honda Civic Si and my cheapest rate so far was 5200 from Belair, This is my 1st car that im gonna own myself. They are really rippin me off.
I just changed my auto insurance policy to PC Financial Insurance. I saved a hell lot of money. They're new, and have awesome rates. You could get a quote from www.pcinsurance.ca
I have to admit though, I deal with PCfinancial on a daily basis for business and they've got the dumbest staff alive despite there good rates.
Just get an insurance up in Quebec or something... it could cost you only $300-400 for a whole year. And all you need is a mailing address/a friend up there...
Go with Meloche Monnex. If you're a U of T or York grad, you get a discount. If you're a professional Engineer, you get a discount... I'm none of the above however.
I'm paying roughly $800 per year on a 93 Ford Escort Wagon YEAH BABY
but I'm the third driver however.
I believe if I were to become the principal driver, it would be like $2300.
N.B. I'm considered high-risk due to my age, I'm under 25... But I've been told recently that 25 was the magic number but has been upped to 30 now...
In any case, as another post indicated, go for Meloche Monnex. They're big and you might fall under one of their discount categories, you never know...?
their all pretty much the same, insurance rates went up 28% in the new year, think it was february and ontario has the highest rates in all of canada, its pretty disgusting
but like crazy serb said, you could get it in montreal but you'll also have quebec plates and will have to drive up there for re-newals and all that crap if you dont mind the drive
and if you dont want to insure your car all year round, best bet is with co-operators, as far as i know, they are the only ones that will give you 6 months

Our family just changed car insurance to Wawanesa Insurance and saved lot.
We have two cars, 94 Pontiac Transport and 93 Honda Accord, the insurance premium is $3900 for whole family of 4.
Although we already have signed insurance coverage with Wawanesa TD Insurance gave us little cheaper quotation.
TD sends quotation very late compared to other insurance companies.
One tip to shop an auto insurance is you need to shop around a lot.
Even someone said one company is cheap it maybe lot different to you cause insurance premium change according to what car you drive and your driving record.
I know it's pain in the ass to get an auto insurance these days so for someone who needs it i list few companies which gave us good enough quotation.
CAA - 60 Commerce Valley Dr E Thornhill 905-771-3435,1-877-222-3939
Direct Protect - 1-800-810-4990, http://www.assur-ligne.com/home.jsp?prof=dp&cust=3

Wawanesa Insurance
I'm paying $2040 a year for an 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8.
I'm with Security National and have full coverage with a 500 deductable.
1 speeding ticket and no accidents. Only driver.
Cheapest quote I got....
I'm with The Personnal....I've got my car & condo insured through them...I work at the TTC and they get like a corporate rate BUT my brother told me to check out... http://www.kanetics.com/website/qb_...tml?employee_id I was really surprised that I got an even CHEAPER rate with RBC insurance...Kanetics.com is the BEST insurance quote website because it tells you all the other insurance company quotes (from cheapest to most expensive...depending on your situation)...My quote from RBC will acutally be $150 cheaper per year then The Personnal.
Anyway it does help to shop around and www.kanetics.com is a very helpful tool...
Good luck

I pay $1600 a year as a primary driver on a '95 dodge stratus. That's good considering I'm 23 and male and it's my first car. I get a discount through my professional association though suckas! Average rate for me elsewhere was 2600. Check out johnson insurance, they ofer good rates.
