Dancing Dude music beginings

hey there fellow trance addicts, just a few q's on begining to make my own music. basically where do i begin? i screwed around with a friends version of fruity loops and was able to make some basic samples and a few "tunes". i just need some more info on where to go from here. i have no musical talent at the moment, just doing this as a hobby. but i wanna take it further and i just need to know where to go for some help. any web sites that can help would be handy. the FL web page is good but u have to own the product in order to get any help which is useless as i don't own the product yet. any help would be appreciated. thx

There is an absolute buttload of information >here< and on these forums.

Fruityloops is great for starting out, you can find some freeware VST instruments >here< (I recommend 'synth 1')

also download some midi files and see how good melodies are created.

There are no rules to producing, just experiment and have fun

I find it amazing that you took the time to write all that out, yet (apparently) didn't read the stickes.

I think the stickies should be in font size 70
to avoid all these questions by all the semi-blind or lazy people.
