i wish im at work

but i heard makelele should be an honorary oscar winner

Posted by denys envy on Apr-20-2004 20:31:

yeah, got slapped on the back of the head and went down like he was shot.

Morientes just put in an amazing shot and Nnonda or some shit like that walked on the pitch and put his first touch in the net, amazing last 15 mins.

Posted by denys envy on Apr-20-2004 20:36:

it ends 3-1

Anyone that saw the game what did you think

I thought Monaco is amazing for being a man down and putting up a result like that

And Morientes is definitely going back to Real after a performance like that this year

ok so the title of the thread is.... "UEFA UCL thread..."

Makalele would have won an Olympic gold for that dive!

What the hell Ranieri was doing with the substitutions was beyond me. For example bringing on Robert Huth (CB) on the right wing

They didnt look like they could be arsed playing in the second half and didnt know where they were meant to be playing. It was only Lampard who played like it was the semi final.

he's lost all my respect for what he did there
he was once a good player in my eyes, but now he just ranks as a cheating french bastard

I was glad that Chelsea lost Normally I don't mind Chelski, but I got really angry when Makelele played fucking drama queen to get the other guy sent off.

That Desailly wasn't red carded for elbowing Morientes is a %/%"& scandal. Ban his ass!

Dirty French bastards indeed

Tho morientes did lash out while he was on the floor and kick one of the chelsea players

Man what a stupid piece of unsportsmanship with that dive .. he even had time to look at the foul on the replay before diving .. what a tosser

dont get me wrong i want to see chelsea get through but imo the result was just desserts for the makelele dive. Monaco were just plain better also with 10 men. Tactically poor play from Ranieri is one cause of their defeat. Think they will turn in around in the 2nd leg though.

Makelele needs a boot to the head.

Watched Deportivo vs Porto game today.

BORING!

THe game was bunch of guys committing fouls and divings. (Porto didn't get a penalty when one of their guys had a legit foul committed against him. Serves you right)

Posted by DJ-Fuq on Apr-22-2004 00:24:

Makelele is a wanker. Also, ron atkinson got sacked (well, resigned) for calling desailly a "fucking lazy n*gger" after full time, not realising they were still live on air in eastern europe i think.
A while ago he did the same thing, calling totti a "bit of a twat" at half time, when they were still live in germany or somewhere.

who saw the boring affair that was porto deport game today

the most exciting part was the crossbar chance... i forget who got it

otherwise the game was very physical and sloppy

Posted by noikeee on Apr-22-2004 13:19:

the most exciting thing about thegame yesterday was the referee exhibition. was so bad it had comic value to those who didn't watch, here's the report:

first half, porto player gets tackled at the entry of the penalty area, was going to get one-or-one with the keeper, but the ref gives only freekick and no yellow card. couple minutes after, ricardo carvalho makes a tackle on some defender, misses both the player and the ball by a mile and gets a yellow card. second half, the game is ending, and jorge andrade makes a foul on deco, after which he gives a friendly tap with his foot on the ex-teammate, the ref decides to give him a red card for aggression. finally, on the last few mins, marco ferreira gets clearly tackled on the penalty box, the ref gives no penalty and no second yellow card for mauro silva which was forgiven for the second time.

how in hell can a ref as bad as this get into a champions league semi-final is beyond me

It's about time this guy got to fuck anyway. He has to be the worst commentator about. The guy is just so biased it's unbelievable.

hehe , it seems not many people like french people here.
I'm agree on the fact the referee was bad and makelele and desailly weren't very fair-play .
But keep your "Dirty French bastards indeed" for you please.
And lol..we will beat you on the euro cup of course

Can't wait for the football lesson they'll give you this summer...

"ALLEZ LES BLEUS, ALLEZ LES BLEUS" on va les NIQUER!!!!!!
puis monaco = chapeau bas!

Posted by SPANIARD on Apr-23-2004 01:49:

Yeah but the ref was bad for both teams. I can think for every bad call he made on Porto, he made on Depor as well. I give credit to both coaches, they proved they are the best parts of both the teams.

how far did you get in the tournament??? i seem to have forgotten... it was sooo long b4 the tournament ended ...

Posted by denys envy on Apr-23-2004 19:56:

teams can have shitty runs let not jump on France's ass right away

Besides they qualified with flying colors for the Euros and they're still a great team.

Posted by denys envy on Apr-23-2004 19:57:

besides we all know Russia is gonna win this summer

Posted by denys envy on Apr-23-2004 20:00:

and let's get back to the topic.

After this weekend it looks like Monaco is set to go through, though we have seen our fare share of miracles this year

As for Deport - Porto leg, i think Deport will win at home, no doubt about it.

In the Final Deport and Monaco... hard decision. but I'd go with Monaco pulling an upset and Morientes getting the game winner to complete a fine UCL showing for him (though domestically he blew)

Ohh yeah and afterwards chelsea fire ranieri and sign deschamps
