Chopper Problem

Hey guys,

I'm trying to use the chopper effect that comes with cubase and I am running into a problem. I'm constantly getting pops along with the breaks that cubase puts into the "chopped" audio. I'm not sure if its a hardware problem (my computer on the edge of it's limit) or a software issue that maybe some of you have run into.

If you'd like to listen to the part I'm talking about, you can hear it on a tune I'm working on. I have a rough version up, and the part occurs at around 2:57. I'm sorry I don't have a shorter sample to download with just the part in question, but I'm away from my computer, and I already have this file uploaded. It's a rough mixdown, and it's not complete, but the chopper issue is present.

Did you try Chopper 2?

Also, make sure that it's not set to a square wave with 100 percent depth.

Also note that "chopping" uses tons of cpu resources so you may be maxing out your cpu, thus causing pops.

Thanks guys, I'll give those a shot. I've never used a chopper before, and it's been frustrating.
