-- Build a TR-909!!

Build a TR-909!!

I've heard of resurrecting the TR-909, but this is a bit ambitious for those of us not getting our degrees in electrical engineering!

VERY COOL!!

Cheers!

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe this summer, my friend has a whole ee setup at his house since his dad works for lawrence livermore labs.

Lucky you. I just have friend who does that kinda shit for hobby. But finding a soldering machine is another story..

actually I know the guy that made this from another forum, and it's a relatively easy project, which he worked on very fast. It's well-documented. You do have to get hold of the parts yourself, but they're not that hard to find. Someone made this rough estimate of costs:

- prints + eproms and cpu: 75 euro
- parts for prints: 75 euro
- case: 50 euro
- front (Schaeffer): 100 euro
- potmeters + buttons + outputs: 75 euro
-------------------------------------------------------
- total: 375 euro

Plus you need proper equipment and loads of time

It took bjorn about a full week to build

Hi all!,

Very nice to see enthousiastic people about the 9090 project..

I can assure you, that it's great fun to build something like this.

By the way there is no need for a soldering machine..

It's just that i have the ability to use one at the company i work.
Otherwise i had to solder it all by hand.
It only takes some more time lol

If anybody needs info about this project, dont hassitate emailing me..

Grtz.. Bjrn / Erazotropa
