Sub Bass VS Mid Bass

I need to know,
Are Sub basslines (the part of a bassline that is lower than the kick drum)always the same sequence as the mid bassline (the part of the bassline that is higher than the kick drum) or can there be two different bass sequences in a song playing at the same time ?

PS yes I know that the basslines are not always played lower and higher than the kick

You can have two bass sequences playing back at the same time. As a matter of fact you can make any arrangemments in your track as long as the kick and the subbass are not clashing. Therefore, keep the subbass on a separate beat from the kick, and play the midbass to give it the groove.

Sub-bass can be added on the kick. Try this. Use the sub-bass on the offbeat and when it hits on the kick use a processed version of that same sub-bass. You should use a program that emphasizes the upper harmonics of the bass on that note, while deemphasizing the lower frequencies. This can really add to the groove when you don't have to worry about putting the subbass on offbeat notes.
