Unhappy Car Stolen!

I am sorry to vent, but I am beyond PISSED! How can people go around stealing freaking innocent ppls cars. Like WTF?! I understand that Type R's are risky cars to have, but just because you have one doesn't mean you are asking for trouble.... My fiance had his car stolen RIGHT infront of his house last night FFS

Type R?
The Honda, the Acura or the Jaguar?

What year was it? Was it locked, have an alarm?

sorry to hear that.

Don't be sorry for venting.

Car theft is so annoying when it happens to you. Just be prepared for the police to fuck you over too. If they find your car you will have to pay extra to get it out of the compound.

I hate people who do stuff like that. It does nothing but cause suffering for someone else and momentary joy, or monetary growth for the criminal.

Note: An excellent way to protect your car is to have computer chips implanted into the keys so as to stop the engine from turning on without the proper key. (Laser cut keys are also a good idea)

If it's a Type R it is already in 100 pieces or in a container on a boat going to some far off place....

It is an Integra type R '97...

Tw1tch, yeah it was locked, alarm 'n everything right infront of his home.
Stereoprincess, I love your positivity, but I am afraid Rabbitjoker has the right idea... it is going to be torn apart and sold per piece.

PartyHarlequin, that computer chip idea sounds fantastic and I don't believe I have heard of it before. It sounds expensive, but if you are getting an above average car I am sure it is worth it.
Thanks for letting me get it out

Well, if you're gonna get an above average car, at least be able to cope with the chance of it being stolen and you not needing to take another mortgage on the house to buy a new one.

It does suck to have a car stolen, but hey, don't go all out like my buddy that shelled out $30,000 for his car and now can barely afford the gas for it... I can't even imagine what he'd do if somebody stole his car.

I ask since I have a 2002 RSX Type-S (the replacement for the Type-R). I know a lot of the Integra'a were hot to steal, and I worry about that with my car.

Oh shiza Sandra........ That really sucks... I'm really sorry to hear that.

Posted by Izra on Apr-23-2004 18:43:

reading this forum makes me so happy that I live in a rural area. I leave my doors unlocked, and I sometimes leave the keys in the car !! lol

Sorry about getting your car stolen, but isn't there insurance for theft that would cover the cost? (I don't know much about insurance)

My car was stolen and I got it back perfectly well except the starter unit. It depends why they took the car, for a joy ride or for parts. Mine was taken for a joyride but it had no gas left in it so they didn't get too far (in fact, across the street into a parking lot).

This car was probably taken for part. Hopefully, you will get the insurance for it.

Some companies implant them as standard on their cars (BMW, Mercedes, MINI, Lexus, Audi, Porsche etc...). The laser cut keys also make it virtually impossible to steal the car without doing damage to the doors and ignition among other things. Same, used standard by a number of European cars.

And I'm glad they do, I love my Cooper S!!!!

Deeply sorry to hear that, but they stole your car for the engine ... that engine fits on ANY honda and it has NUFF power. PPL put that eninge in a Civic and you can imgane the power in such a little car like that. It's common for Type R's to be stolen.

ya i know nothing about insurance too, but shouldnt get ur money back? although insurance is the biggest rip off ever, they should just take it out completely

Posted by Desp on Apr-23-2004 23:31:

if the car is stolen for parts there is no way you gonna find it except when you point at the car and say to police - this car have my engine, even if its stolen to be just driven around that means if they resell to the you can't get ur car back, but insurance is a good thing though

Posted by Vivid Boy on Apr-23-2004 23:36:

etobicoke would be better in ur situation if u live here...
