Krinker.. Derrick Carter plays here every month.. doing the 'tour-de-montreal-afterhours' currently. Something decent to go out for actually happens in ottawa.. well... a lot less frequently.
-and this venue is pretty decent also.. much better than the crack shack mazen & raul saw @ Ferry.

Anyway, I hope some of you make the trip! I'm sure I can play hostess to a few of you anyway.

ottawa seems HYPED for Preach the most.. btw. w00t

the difference is that i,m going up to mtl to see derrick because one of my friend loves him and actually never swaw him live and for her b-day i'm bringing her to see THA MAN DERRICK CARTER !!

Not that i wouldn't want to go party in otawa ... and i'm pretty sure more decent event willl occur in the next months

+ i'm actually thinking of hiting otawa from june the 12th to june th 19th ... gotta see my sister from time to time I WILL TURN THIS CITY UPSIDE DOWN !!

ya.. househeads tend to get catered to quite a bit in the 613 (Carter plays here pretty much annually, just did).. but your best bet is probably to come here for Canada Day.. nothing in the works just yet but the names I heard that were being pursued are DOPE.. the kind of house I like!

still, the best Canada Day here for me was 4 years ago with John Acquaviva & Dj Sneak.. Acquaviva opened with a crazy remix of Bob Marley's 'could you be loved' too... wicked night! ahhh the memories..

iv been out of the country for a few months.. what the hell is going on with the scene? Derrick carter monthly resident somewhere? wtf? ferry corsten? Decent venue? what's going on?

hahah.. k.. I'll sum it up for you.

Derrick Carter.. will never be a resident anywhere in Ottawa.. but he seems to be touring montreal afterhours in search of one it seems..
he played at VIBE last month in Ottawa.. so won't be back for another year.

Ferry Corsten.. he played at *surface* a few months ago, Mazen & Raul came for that.
which leads into the decent venue comment.. I am very happy Cycle will be at VIBE, and not at a few other options in Ottawa.. Space was ok for last year's Cycle, but VIBE is better for the type of party. It did used to be Atomic afterall.

oh ya.. Krinker..
I'll probably see you at Dagobert first then.

I'm back in Ottawa for the summer, so I'll be there on the 23rd. some good party in Ottawa... rare thing
