Something different (dedicated to my dying mother)

I made this for my mom, while she was in the hospital. I flew to Puerto Rico the last week of December to go on vacation. 9 days later, she got gangrene in her feet, so I rushed hger to the hospital. To make the long story short, I flew back January 14th. I then had to go back there on February 13th because my girlfriend called me to tell me they amputated one leg. I flew down there to visit her. I forgot to take the CD with the song. Anyway, my time runs out and I return to the States in February 17th...10 days later she passed away and I didn't find out until a month later. I feel very sad because she never got to listen to it. I hope you guys like it...it's not professional sounding; it's just special and I've received great feedback because the song follows the title. It's not trance...it's like kinda trip-hoppish...she loved that rhythm, especially with indian flutes and jungle sounds.

my deepest condolences

I just found it really awesome how you are using the music to represent your emotions (after all... that's what real producers/composers do right?)... The song is very chill and relaxing and I feel like I'm in some faraway exotic place...

Production-wise, I do not see anything wrong with it and it seems pretty good (although I don't really listen trip-hop ambient music)

Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing mate!

Thanks a lot, kewl guy.

I did it entirely with an E-MU Xtreme Lead-1...recorded straight to the M-Audio Delta 1010 using Cubase SX 1.06 as sequencer; nothing else...I was pretty satisfied with the production quality. Like I said, it didn't sound professional but that wasn't the idea...it was just how I was feeling. Anyway, thanks for the input and the condolences.

Sad story, it must be the worst thing on earth .
Anyway... The track has a nice tropical vibe init, love the breakbeat style. The harmony is very nice as well.
Keep it up, and stay strong.

somethin fresh and different on the forums.. excellent work you've done, i like to listen to this stuff every now and then. its got an excellent beat structure i think. sorry about your mom, but think about it like this.. shes gone to a better place where she isnt sufferin anymore.. my uncle passed away from that a few months ago.. he suffered so much. in a way, i'm happy thas hes not sufferin anymore.. it hurt seein him in that type of condition..

I'm glad you liked it, DJPrototypeX...and thank for the kind words.
Yeah, she was going to suffer a lot...imagine...no legs...and my dad is 74...I'm here in the Army so I wasn't gonna be able to take care of her...my sister neither...it was best for her to leave with God. I miss her too much, though...

I made a short sample of a new song that has the sounds my mom liked...let me see if I can upload it tomorrow...it's a similar rhythm.
