Comin at ya!

i'm working on my JRP right now. for all of you who dont know, the JRP stands for Junior Research Paper. It's pretty much a 15 page research paper that takes up an entire quarter of the school year and is a graduation requirement. The rough draft is due tomorrow (Monday) and I have 2 more pages to write. I'm doing it on my favorite filmmaker, Stanley Kubrick...here's the thesis of the apaper so you pretty much know what it's about:

Stanley Kubricks films Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and the Love the Bomb and Full Metal Jacket are also examples of this trend of politically-themed films. Kubricks two movies not only provide valuable insight on the social climate of America during the Cold War and the Vietnam War, but also reflect Kubricks personal opinion on both situations.

if you're interested in reading it once it's done, just let me know and i can send it to you.

thought it would be appropriate here because its politically themed.

I would be very interested!! Also, if you are interested in Kubrick, watch Eyes Wide Shut ans see how he exposes the CIA and other high level American groups...surprisingly he died a week after editing the script!

source or STFU.

"Kubrick had finished the final edit, but the next hurdle would be the Warner Bros. contract he had signed. It obligated him to turn in an R-rated film but the MPAA thought the sexual material too graphic to give it anything below NC-17. Tom Cruise vowed to fight any further editing by the studio"

try again, ass.

I'm a big fan of Kubrick. I'm especially fond of Dr. Strangelove. Like to read your paper when you're finished. One of my favorite lines is:

President Merkin Muffley: Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!

I like how Kubrick uses satire to expose the hypocrisies of war and those who wage it.
