Chicane - Saltwater (CJ Stone Remix)

Best effort I've heard from Andreas in over a year! Very impressive

remix.. has the same CJ Stone bassline we've all grown accustomed to

as well as a very original melody accompanied with the lovely atmos-

pheric vocals of Moya Brennan in the background. Wicked mint tune!

8.5/10..

edit: the breaks bit before the first breakdown is bliss!

Yes, pretty nice but not yet groundbreaking work from Andreas, a track i doubted someone like him would have remixed... but there are a lot worse remixes of great tracks out there so i'm not complaining. Is this released yet? Haven't seen it anywhere.

*EDIT* The vocalist's name is Maire Brennan, not Moya.

I believe its only been released on CD-R. No details on the official

release. Once again, mint tune.

i'm guessing that this will be released on xtravaganza, because now that chicane left xtravaganza and to cash in, alex gold starts to go "graverobbing", but nice remix tho, not anything special but still ok

hmmmm...i wouldn't have really expected anything good to come out of cj stone these days, but if grim doesn't mind it...it might actually be worth taking a listen hehehe...

Just heard it.A really nice remix.Indeed the breaks before the first breakdown are fantastic.Generally a beautiful tune.Hope he'll keep making remixes and productions at the same level

8.5/10

Excellent remix IMO...would sound great in a club. I haven't liked CJ Stone's productions lately, they sound cheesy and all the same. I like this remix however.

A pretty decent club take on Saltwater...still prefer the two original versions (Original Mix and the Tomski vs. the Disco Citizens take) but this one is worth a listen or two.

nothing special, a typical cheesy cj stone remix
the only reason why it isnt "that bad" is because of the quality of the original track

As i've mentioned and before "cheesy" used to mean something.......these days seems that everyone uses it when they don't like the artist or the tune

Posted by neoraver on Apr-27-2004 13:06:

yeah, u're right, I cant stand the artist, simply because of the fact that he produces crappy tracks imo, and as for the original track - its one of my favourite tracks ever
