[ROLL CALL] Nov. 7, 2004 ING New York City MARATHON

The New York City Marathon began on a warm September morning in Central Park in 1970. The first race had 127 starters and 55 finishers. On Sunday, November 7, 2004, up to 35,000 participants will journey through the streets of New York City's five boroughs, cheered on by more than 2 million spectators and assisted by 12,000 volunteers. Throughout its history, the marathon has symbolized the triumph of the human spirit and the extraordinary possibilities of individual achievement. Be a part of that tradition by joining in the 35th anniversary running of the world's most celebrated road race, the ING New York City Marathon.
