Smiley DJ Raving: glowsticking, stringing, photons

Everyone's seen them. They're pretty much every where closely associated with raves. They are the ravers! True in the sense...I've been raving for about two years now and only recently have I picked up the art of glowstringing. Now, here's where I need your help. Everyone talks about combos, styles, methods, tricks, etc. My tricktionary isn't that big and I need to learn more. Can anyone help me out? Are there any sites or videos of glowsticking/stringing that I can like look at to pick up some new stuff? I'm not looking for a how-to kind of thing cuz you can't learn that way. You need to study somebody else's moves and tricks. Please!!! Someone help!

come out to cali and i'll show you the little that i know. the way i learn is through friends or other ravers. just go out and party and if you see some dude do a move that blows your mind then ask him how he did it and more than likely he'll be happy to show you. at least that's how it's always worked for me. maybe i'm just lucky. but i've learned a lot of techniques and met a lot of cool peeps that way. you are on your way to becoming a true lightshow artist, my son. peace!!!

Glad to see someone else wanting to learn the sacred art of swinging I have found this to be very rewarding and fun, not to mention that it can actually improve your sex life! On the real though the main key is practice, learn how to do basic moves until you never mess up and then you can link them together and create your own style. Learn all the basic moves here --->http://www.juggling.co.nz/ and just practice practice practice. One word of good advice, cover your balls with a sock or something while learning the butterfly, TRUST ME you will be thankful. Hope it all works out for you. email me with any other questions.

protection is very crutial, i know...i started abut a month ago wit strings and i know the pain, ive felt it every where . so far, ive only hit my balls like 3 times but ever single time i fell to the floor with my hands over them so u dont have to tell me about pain..raving really needs cups!

since were on the topic of strings.....

I was at Buzz on friday watching this guy tear the shit up. I was sitting right infront of him, letting him come as close as he dared. way too kool (thankfuly I never got hit) So this kid totally ablivous to the guy swingin walks buy. Right through the circle. Now the guy swingin had his eyes closed so he never way the kid walking. Any way they were in perfect unison. as the kid walked the sticks passed infront and behind his head like 4 times only inches away. I was floored. Never in my day have I seen anything like it. I guess when the vibe is right and people are in rythm anything is possible.

For those of you that rock strings, have you tried it with another person? a buddy and I played around with it a bit, he did strings and I rocked a set of 10" sticks. Cutting in and out of his movements. It was sortta like jumping rope. We never took it too far though too many hard hit throws ones balance off : )

Home of Poi rocks!!!

i have been visiting for 2 weeks, it got a lot of tricks and tips. Great for learning!!

btw, its eaier to learn with glowsticks than with practice pois, hurts less. i used to think it was the other way, but it isnt. And for those eggs hits, baggy pants help, believe me.
