What's with the dimensions? EDIT: sorry, didn't realize this was sample
And it's Paul van Dyk, not Paul Van Dyk, afaik.
No biggie though, easy to fix, as it's more than likely a type-layer. Good work.

I think they suck. Just screw around with Photoshop nonstop. Use those books as reference (walk into Chapters and read them for an hour kinda thing).

its ok having the knowledge but i guess you need a little inspiration and of course you need to try certain styles and apply certain techniques and if you personally dont like you can always try again. there a photoshop gurus out there who can photoshop more or less anything but i guess its all in the mind when creating from scratch. Id recommend you start with Paint Shop Pro get to know how Layers work and the effects you can gain with simple tools.
The Paul van Dyk wallpaper is basic and has been kept that way , as the angel needs to stand out adding lots of gphx to it would spoil it, its like drawing a smile on mona lisa. Simple can be effective. A few other things about the wallpaper the text. The biggest Font is the Paul van Dyk then its the track title, then its the other tracks on his orginal album, see how size show importance little things like this stand out. Im trying to put together a domain dedicated to Electronica Art and hopefully get some Tutorials together.
As for the Pulsar Question. Give me a few dayz, as for the Vv Question thanks for pointing that out im sure ppl wont notice.

ehhh i always stay away from google actually
90% of stuff you find is 72 dpi, so when you make a wallpaper sized thing the image can only take up like 1/3 of the space it should before it starts looking like crap (i only really workin in 300+dpi)
but nice work on those
i almost feel like asking for a wallpaper, but i doubt you'd wanna do a rap one
but shit man, atmosphere is so amazing
keep up the good work!
