Weird I can't see the first post in the thread.
Here's the original text:

"Can someone confirm on this? I keep hearing that there are dance, trance nights on Thursdays. Did the turnout for 25-th was good enough so they decided to make it weekly?"

Any club that is 18+ only brings trouble... trust us, there have been many clubs/events that no longer exist because they were 18+. Government doesn't like seeing kids all fucked up, so they attack venues that do that. Is the new Glow still going to be 18+?

Posted by breakinbeats on May-03-2004 20:17:

A 18+ Venue brings new people into a scene that is freakin dead= Orlando. Like at sander do you like parting with the same 30 year olds every big event.(sorry if you are 30 or close to it, no offense) I talked to alot of top orlando scene people that night and they were all over 30. Well if you do like to only party with the old ones, you will be partyin with those people and only those people until there is no scene. There HAS to be places to get the young ones exposed to the music. To contine to have a strong base and to keep the scene in the eyes of the young. <--Thats what people want to feel like in the party scene, young and wild, and you can't deny that.

If you guys are interested, I know a couple of pretty good local trance DJs. They go by Alex Sabre and Kevin Keith, and they play every Saturday night at Red Square if you want to check them out. If you find them busy and seemingle unapproachable b/c of it, mention me and TA. They'll be attentive fellows.

I can feel that, Pat. I definitely felt that way before last August, and there used to be a bunch of venues that held Electro/Jungle parties all the time for younger fans. Unfortunately they all seem to get shut down. West Palm Beach is now 21+; they say it's to drop crime (?). It's odd how policy isn't universal, either. I was in Sacramento in January, and there was a local venue there that was an all-ages dance club... and they were spinning trance !! Search was rough, but I guess that should be enough to keep a venue open. I guess my opinion is biased by current policy. I truly feel promoters should be able to host parties without fear for younger people. Why is it that people seem to forget what we're talking about... IT'S MUSIC !!! peace out.

THANK YOU, Pat! @ least some1 understands...Now I can understand why you guys feel the way you do about those who are under 21, but you all know damn well that when ya'll were 18-19 yrs old [maybe even younger] liked to party and have a good time as well. So you should understand how we feel as well. Also, most of the clubs [and events] down here in Orlando are 18+, as opposed to over there in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, WPB areas, where everything is 21+...Maybe the teens over there are just a lil bit more wild than those down here?..Well anyways, I've expressed my feelings on this subject enough, and all I want is for every to get along, and be treated equally. We're all on this site for the music, right? So age shouldn't even matter. But yea, that's about all I have left to say on this subject. So I'm gonna go head n shut up n drop it...P.L.U.R. <--Seriously...Later!

Hey leave the kids in the park, so the big people can enjoy themselves!!!

Posted by bobba lou on May-03-2004 23:42:

I say we gather all the young ones and send them to North dakota to go party on there own...Just a thought...

and we will party on down here...

go away now ya hea!!

God, weren't you fools that age once??? Even I was.

(Actually, on the inside, I STILL AM.)

You're only as old as you feel....

...so I feel I'm 19, muthafukkas!!!

You don't like 18+ nights?

Get the flying fuck out da club then!!!! Or DON'T GO!!!!

Posted by 3xx3r7 on May-04-2004 04:39:
