Coachella fest 04

Not sure who here went, but damn it was sick,

Seb Fontaine tore it up
Sander Rocked as well
Garnier Stole the show Day 1 IMO,

Icon and peretz had decent acts, but one of the two guys in peretz cant beat match at all heh still fun to watch
The night ended with Kraftwerk, people who didnt know who they were didnt like them as much, but for those of us who know a bit about them they were a treat to see, however many people said back about 10 years ago or so they had far better shows
day 2 was just plain fucking sick though

Opened with hybrid, which i thank god that they came haha, i wished they couldve been the closing act instead,
on too peretz again
Then Donald Glaude tore it up, definently one of the best acts if not the best act of the day,
he was followed by too many DJ's, they uh, yeha they provided good time to restock water,
then FREELAND!!!!!!!!! he was so sick, i still cant get over him,
he was followed by
Crystal Method, whom always do sucha great show, but fuck was it packed when they were on, you could hardly move,
After Crystal method came Ferry Corsten, who i am very glad i got to see, and his wife was there ,

Finally PvD closed, and except for his last track, time of our lives his set was great! When he dropped passive resistance, i went insaine, haha 24 hours spent at that place this weekend, 22 of them i was dancing, lethargic is an understatement for the drive home the second night jolz, but Either way the show was wicked hopefully some of the sets got recorded for you all to hear!

It was held this past weekend (May 1-2) out in the desert in Indio, California, about a 2 1/2 hour drive east from Los Angeles.

BT - Force Of Gravity (Ferry Corsten "Terminalhead" Bootleg remix)

I was the crazy d00d in the front with the white tee screaming my lungs out throughout the whole set. One of the best nights of my life. It's crazy too, I never thought he would play that remix again.. but fortunately he did.. and MAN DID HE ROCK! I had several direct interactions with him as well as PvD and several other acts! :P

P.S.: He exchanged a certain CD-R with Paul while they were exchanging shifts. I have a strong suspicion that it was his bootleg remix of "Force Of Gravity."

Btw: He also dropped the unheard Angelli and Nelson remix of "It's Time" that has never been heard by a public audience before. Phenomenal as well. It was also comedy when Paul finished and people were begging for an encore.. he refused due to time constraints.. and then everybody b00ed him! I kind've felt bad, but at the same time I found it rather funny

edit: Glaude was insane!

Ferry is g0d!

I feel you br0.. I feel you. During their set.. All I could think about was getting to the front to see Ferry and Paul. I pushed and forced myself through as many bystanders as I could to get to attain that position ! When Freeland dropped his remix of "Smells Like Teen Spirit," there was an immense response. Everybody (including myself) started moshing their brains out. And when the main lead dropped, people started dancing like manics out've an asylum Such a phenomenal night.. I could write you guys a 5-page term paper of how killer my experience was. I can also gurantee that for those of you who did not attend this spectacular event.. there is no event that could have duplicated this. Events like these are a rarity and do not occur frequently.. but fortunately it did this past weekend. It was simply awesome!

Does anybody know the name of the "Blue Monday" remix that Hybrid played at the closing of their set?

P.S.: The Cure finished the night away with their performance of the classic "A Forest" At that point I had passed out and was lying in the middle of the grass floor recuperating from previous acts

Signing 0ut..

I wasn't there (at coachella), but you sure it wasn't actually the Ferry Corsten mix of It's Time! that he has played for the past 2 weeks or so, including at Space on saturday?

This was for sure one of the best nights of my entire life!!!!!

Saturday was awesome, Laurent Garnier dropped some amazing tunes which were definately floor stompers. He packed the tent like no other act I saw on that day. Sander Kleinenberg was good too, but I didn't think he put out his best set

I feel kinda bad that I missed Fontaine's set, I heard he was great.

But Sunday was by far the more memorable of the two days. HYRBID OPENED!!!!! When they dropped Radiohead - Everything's In Its Right Place (Hybrid Rmx) and followed it with Luke Chable - Ride With Me, DjDigDug (Who I chilled with) went insane!!!! I also think Hybrid should have closed instaed of PVD

Peretz had some amazing tunes, but the mixing was horrible.

DONALD GLAUDE was definately the dj of the ecent IMO. When he came on, there were prolly like 100 people in the tent, but within 15 minutes of his set, he packed the place with at least 8,000 or so. I have never seen such a crowd pleaser! That man has an amazing charisma behind (and in front) of the decks. And man did he play it LOUD!!!! He dropped the Blue Monday remix (so did Gaurnier and Freeland) everyone's been trying to find out, but he also played another rmx of it towards the end of the set that was just as wicked.

Freeland did the same as Glaude >>> floor stompers!!!

Ferry was awesome, but he only had like 40 minutes for his set, which was kinda sad.

PVD, I wasn't too impressed with. After the life and energy ferry, crystal method, freeland and glaude brought, he seemed pretty distant and inactive. Also, the tracks he played were a little repetitious in melody...except for Passive Resistance which is one of the coolest tracks out there right now.

Seriously, this past weekend was amazing and I definately recommend more of you come and check it out. Its not that often that you'll see so many international djs come together on the west coast for such an event!
