Trance Nation 18 - 10 Years Anniversary Edition

Trance Nation is Germany's oldest dance compilation series. The new edition is TRANCE NATION 18 - it has been releases on May, 3rd and it is the "10 Years Anniversary Edition". Trance Nation has been one of the most leading and trendsetting compilations for years, but then it became very commercial and only wack sounds could be found on it. But now it the series has been relaunched and it is a very cool compilation again! Trance Nation contains three CDs now! The dj team HELLER & ENKIE are the hosts of Trance Nation, they are presenting a wicked mix of great tracks, e.g. from Oceanlab, Hemstock & Jennings, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz. The second CD is from the guest dj Andr� Visior and he is also presenting a really great mix with tracks from Hiver & Hammer, Mike Koglin & Jono Grant, Signum, Mind One, Unknown Source and different more. The third CD contains different huge anthems as complete versions (not mixed).
It is not easy to for me to speak about Trance Nation, because I am one part of Heller & Enkie - I love Trance Nation, of course! I only can tell you one thing: check the latest issue TRANCE NATION 19 and tell me your opinion!

Trance Nation One was my first compilation,back at 1998 IIRC.How can i forget it..........it had amazing tracks.Haven't heard 18 or 19 but i'm looking forward to it.Can you give us the tracklist?

Hmm, some good tracks on there. But how the hell is LMC vs. U2 - Take me to the Clouds Above a trance anthem? Big whoops.

LMC vs. U2 is not a usual trance anthem, of course. But we've chosen that track as the last one of our mix, because we think, it is a nice one for the end of a mix compilation cd. It is a very, very comercial track and we know that! But it got a nice mood and that's why we thougt, it is worth to come on Trance Nation. For us Trance is music with emotion - and not with any special kind of beats or anything like that. "Take Me To The Clouds Above" got's that feeling. So LMC vs. U2 is some kind of Trance for us! And the track got's an underground history: it has been a cool bootleg first and later it became an official release and very successfull - is that a reason, why we should not use it anymore. I do not think so...
So if any underground cracks do have a problem with that track, I only can say one thing: open your eyes!

I only can say that again: TRANCE NATION is OUR definition of underground trance music. The tracks, we are playing, are usually underground tracks in the usual way. But sometimes there are tracks, that sound different, that are maybe even really very commercial. But when we think, they got the right feeling, they are worth to play. We think, that Trance is not a typical style. Trance is everything from euphoric, melodic tracks to House, Progressive and even Techno. It's all about the mood. We call that "open minded"...! If anyone does not understand that, it's really sad. You should check out the Mixes on the current edition of Trance Nation. After that you should decide, if you like 'em or not. The tracks work in that combination - and we think, our mix will give you the rest! It would be great, to make you understand!
