awesome remix, you are getting good feedback on this one, too bad it was too late for the competition, awesome fuckin work though

Posted by JayD on May-05-2004 08:47:

Good work agreed. Definitly could use some mastering but that all comes later.

My advice would be to dub it and make it your own (overall it wont sound like satelite at all w/ out the vox). Vox don't really add much here, won't be missing them.

The sampled vox up to 2:24 would be real nice in a final mix.. After that.. Not needed at all.

I also think that the chord progression would sound better going lower instead of rising. Going up puts the mix a bit out of key slightly.

Overall good work man.

already told ya, awsome remix mate.

Nice intro
The modulating 303 sound is wicked tho I'd set the modulation time a tad longer. I like the breakbeat to.
I didn't like the sample with the clicks in (a background sample coming in from 0.30)
The break takes too long for me, tho that's rather subjective.
If it wasn't for the extreme long break I'd definately spin it.
Quality production

superb remix!

i don't quite like the piano sample you used in the breakdown..
also the transition into the 4/4 kick was a bit sudden.

but for the rest it's perfect.. shivers down my spine!

Hey extalin nice production you got here. Nice ambients going on.

It sounds like I'm in a big hall listening this. It sometimes feels like things are too wet, i wonder how it would sound on a big speaker set. It sounds great, does anybody have details on that?? Same for the kick, it's a booowwoooowwooowwooom instead of boomboomboomboom. Is that good on a big installation? I can't really tell cause the bass is always rather muddy here

Great sounds filling the room. Big keeper!

yeah, i love reverb . on part of the vox i used an extra extra amount of reverb, but it was intentional as i wanted to have a certain effect from it.

as for the kick... i experimented with it ringing out much longer than normal.. and then i used the kick track (but running thru a gate) as the sidechain input to a compressor that was on the low frequencies to avoid phasing.

everything is an experiment really, but that's how i like to do it haha

great remix man, i`ve had it on repeat for several times now

Posted by Fundamental on May-05-2004 21:49:

Fantastic remix mate. I'm glad you took the time to finish this, coz it was well worth every bit of effort.

Posted by Mycron on May-05-2004 22:29:

hey rob!

i already told you, what i think about your remix, it's amazing work here

too bad you can't catch the competition, your remix is easily one of the best remix of Satellite out there,

really looking forward to our collab, mate!

keep it up!

This is awesome. I had to jack up my volume a bit and it sounded a bit trebley, but that's just a case of fixing a few levels. I can honestly say this is better than 90% of the Satellite remixes I've heard. I'm sure the reason why it took you a while to get this finished is because you probably put a lot more effort than most of the other remixers. Good work, man.

Fooking amazing! (i'm no dj or producer) But as a hardcore clubber, if this came on in a club i think everyone would be loving it!

Posted by djjeesh on May-24-2004 21:30:
