Dvorak - property of a new world=track in the last samurai
Just saw the last samurai last night. I think i have listened to asot 146 a few times and noticed it was the same, anyone else notice this?
It's a well-known classical piece, so it's not very surprising. Nice melody anyway.
it's a melody from Anton Dvorak's Ninth Symphony "The New World". and this production sucks imo.
on a side note though...The Last Samurai is a great movie.
lol, i watched it last night too! how weird. anyways, i kept telling my rooamtes that "THIS WAS THE SONG IN YING!" and they just kept tellin me to shut up. i did really enjoy the movie though
I haven't heard this one but Geert Huinink and Alco Lammers (Photon Project) have also done a remix of Dvorak's 9th symphony for their Classical Trance CD.
Maybe the radio rip I got was miss IDed or something but this sounds nothing like the New World to me at all. Perhaps because they butchered it so much but I really do not hear the melody. Dvorak's Ninth is pobobly the classical piece I know the most, I can recognize it from listening to a few bars from any part of it. Which section is this melody from? Maybe I am just too used to hearing the classical version but I really do not hear it at all.
I too hear no resemblence whatsoever...
Have only heard the Solid Globe remix of Yin, which I don't really like. I am however eager to hear an original mix from Robert Nickson.
haha what the fuck i saw it last night too.
killer film.
I dig classical remakes...will have to catch this flick and the tune too!
