Various Artists - Classical Trancelations

Next week you will be able to find the Classical Trancelations album in stores in Holland. This album contains classical tracks by Jan Vayne. All tracks are executive produced by Armin van Buuren. What's really nice is the price of this CD: only 7 euro!!!

Classical music will be represented by a chill-out sound on the first disc, while the trance sound, which is immensenly popular nowadays, can be found at disc two. The company tries to make classical music more accessible through this way for an audience that is hard to reach.

Tracklist
CD1
1: The Promise of a New World (Mark Otten Mix)
2: Miami Sunset (Markus Schulz Mix)
3: Fruits & Passion (Armin van Buurens Downtempo Mix)
4: Paris (Envios Chillout Mix)
5: Canon Ball (Fred Baker Chill Mix)
6: A Concert in the Clouds (Arksun Chill Mix)
7: Laments of the Lost (Alucards Chilled Mix)
8: Sweet Symphony (Junk Science Mix)
9: 10pm (Subsphere Chillout Mix)

CD2
1: Heavens Air (Fred Baker vs Terry Bones Mix)
2: Pictures (Vincent de Moor Mix)
3: Welcome to a New World (Fred Baker Mix)
4: The Verge (Tim Hornsby Mix)
5: The Purple Point (Bobina Mix)
6: Divided (The Boiler Room Mix)
7: Dear Lilly (Haak Mix)
8: Air A Pull (C-Quence Mix)
9: Prosperity in a New World (Signum Mix)
10: Mea Culpa (Subsphere Mix)
11: 2nd Season (Mindsensation Remix)

I heard the Signum & Mark Otten Remix last week in ASOT and i was really impressed. And for that price, i don't have to hesitate

Question

I'm not sure what this is about. The term classical confuses me.
I'd like to listen to it anyways. Some nice artists there whose productions I'd like to hear.

I've heard Haak's track, it's a pretty deep and dubby affair with a myriad of FX like always. Break with the piano is great too. The people at Armada for some stupid reason managed to not download the entire track, so they had to edit it. I hope that doesn't ruin it.

Picked it up earlier today and skipped through the tracks. From what I've heard it's certainly worth the 7 euros!

its it mixed / continous seaged (sp?) / individual tracks, totally unmixed ?

term classical is there because all tracks are based on classical scores (mozart, chopen, pachebel etc)

I did a remix under my Junk Science alias as well, still haven't got the promo cd, so that's all I've heard from the compilation.

Posted by babbel on May-06-2004 17:48:

Both cds are mixed which is understandable but the tracks are in full length so it's not a big deal to me.

So don't worry there are no "radio edits" on it

what cd store was that in babbel?

and what exactly does jan vayne has to do with this.. kinda confusing this.

Posted by Andrew K on May-06-2004 18:23:

jan vayne is a piano player from the netherlands. He did the midi files and recorded the original classical tracks.

the various remixers worked on the parts given

armin van burren retouched the remixes, mixed the cds (as well as soome remixes of his own as well)

that's unbelievable tracklist...

Posted by skip on May-06-2004 19:27:

too bad it's mixed! i won't be spending even my 7 on this then most likely!

I bought it at the free record shop in Rotterdam so I guess every FRS has it.
