Super Nintendo pwns me.
A friend of mine down the hall has a modified X-Box, a 160GB hard drive hooked up to the thing, and emulators running for Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis.
I fail to understand why anyone ever stopped playing Super Nintendo. Best. Console. EVER.
Been playing Super Mario All-Stars for days.
my friend has a modified game cube like that...how'd they do that? its soooo sweet!!!!
Yes
SNES
PWNZ
j00.
Megaman X!!!
I have no idea how they do it, but it's rad as hell. I'm a noob to consoles. The last "advanced" console I owned was a Nintendo 64. Of course, I've been dicking around with emulators for years on the PC, but never really enjoyed playing with a keyboard. Being able to use the X-Box controller to play, though, is incredible.
I think it has to do with a "mod chip", some soldering, and a lot of work with configuration. I know that back when X-Box first shipped, you could run Linux on it like it was a regular PC or something. It's all new to me, but I love the fact that it works.

Nothing beats playing the actual console. World Cup Italia '90 on the Megadrive is where it's at.

i have one of the first xbox consoles that came out. I read alot about modding it. I couldnt do it myself though. yes it takes soldering.
super nintendo along with playstation and dreamcast were some of the best systems ever made. amazing games.
Super Nintendo was the best console made. Why? The best games were for it. Chrono Trigger, Super Mario world, Legends of Zelda, Megaman... God damn, quality games. Fun, addictive, enjoyable.
Just took this picture of my baby. The Super Advantage controller that's plugged into the second controller slot is THE ultimate joypad for Street Fighter II gaming... DAMN! Now I feel like rummaging through my old stuff to find the game.

Close up of the two games that were next to the SNES when I took it out of the closet. The cartridge that's inserted in the SNES (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars) is touted to be one of the greatest RPG's of all time... if not the greatest. The game on the side is my favorite Rockman game - Megaman X2. Both games are classics

that's a pretty sweet joy stick you got...
i have the power glove for my old school nintendo. anyone else got one? i tried to sell it once and they were like what is that?? they had never seen one hehehe...it was hard as hell to work too...

oh shit that is cool. i need to get one hehehe. i've actually got a pretty sweet ass collection of NES games and stuff, but i don't have that...i must complete the collection hehehe...
Reading through alll of these posts bring back memories...hahaha...i remember having the mat for the Cross Country Game for Nes..along with Duck Hunt..
i dont remeber that robot though...wierd..anyone here remember Turbo GrafX 16? The Game Bonks Adventures..
I heard about modding an old nintendo case and putting a computer inside of it and running dvds/emulators through it and even making the old controllers functional with the emulators. Now that would be pretty tight.
Yeah i'm going out right now to buy a $150 Xbox so I can turn it into a >$25 Super Nintendo.
My friends got an xbox with like a 200 gig hd and like 50 games on it. Effin makes me sick. He goes to blockbuster rents a game takes it home copys it to his hard drive and he owns it. That or he'll download the game and put it on. It's rediculous what those xboxes are capable of. My friends brother has one with every single NES, SNES, Genesis, and Nintendo rom on it. Makes me pissed.
You guys missed the best system ever:
Sega Master System

It had the best game of all time on it:
Wonder Boy III

And the best RPG ever:
Phantasy Star

It's the console that introduced Sonic the Hedgehog to the world:
