Looking for an american flag
Hi there - I also posted a thread about this in the USA/NYC forum - sorry for spamming, but I'm starting to panic.
Anyways - I'm working on a flyer for a company here in Vxj who are going to arrange an exhibition for american and swedish IT-comapanies - for that I'd need some high resolute pictures/photos of the american flag, which I would want to combine with a swedish one.
I've tried Google and found some high quiality pics, but I don't want to use any copyrighted stuff since that could get me into a lot of trouble - so if anybody has some HQ pics/photos/whatever of the stars and the stripes to share, I'd be forever greatful.
the flyer needs to be done by monday, so I'm starting to panic a bit.
Thanks in advance
doesnt matter for copyright. they arent going to hunt u down and drag u off to prison or court over a pic of an american flag over the internet.
if it has the name somewhere in the pic of the flag of the creator or somethin, then your cool. if u worry about copyright, make u sure u include the source i guess.
Well, I wouldn't be too sure about that. The flyer is going to be spread out in the US as well, and you know americans. Everybody can sue anybody for anything, more or less
your in sweden. u are totally exempt from american law.
you could also try contacting the webmaster of that site and ask for permission...
If you just lift a regular US flag picture from google - then modify it, how are people going to know it's copyrighted? As long as the flag image isn't overly unique, it's going to look like every other US flag out there. In short, as long as the original 'artist' can't recognise the flag, assuming that the US flag itself isn't off limits - then I can't see how you could get in any trouble for it.
