The beloved Random Thread
I WANT IT BACK!!!
Post-padding.... pffft, whatever, some ppl obviously have their knickers on backwards...
With that in mind, and as it is my fav thread in TA, would it not be possible, using the technique in chillout, to make that particular thread non post adding?
then us regulars could enjoy it's wholesome tardness yet again
Is it possible???
pleeeeeeeeeease.....
Apparently the yanks are a law unto themselves and are allowing their spam thread to remain open for business. So u may as well use that 1:

i dunno, it wasnt random and it jsut turned into a post padder, i have have no jibes with you starting threads about anything you want in here, in fact id welcome it, but dont sticxk it to having one giant thread full of posts saying hello coz its a bit pointless and a bad example of spammage, thats why weve decided to get rid of threads when they end up like that.
but again id like to say there arnt any rules aginst starting up thread on none trance things you know, you would of thought you lot posting in that thread didnt knwo what the new thread button was
I think some of Neo has rubbed off onto Ste

put it back, put it back. It was a great thread> There was so much stuff in there that people wouldn't bother making a new thread for.
I think we should have a protest.....
outside ste's house
i concur
Bring Back Random Thread
Bring Back Random Thread
Bring Back Random Thread
Bring Back Random Thread
u think im ever gonne tell u about a turtles picture vinyl ever again
if you wanted it to stay where it was then you should have kept it random.
i did warn you all, and would you heed??
me and ste played hell with the yanks for their PPR, and argued the random threads corner while it was random. unfortunatly it stopped being what it originally was, and we can't be having double standards.
so sorry, no more random thread
as ste said..
!!
But starting new threads is just way too uneconomical, they would get lost in the nothingness within minutes and just clog up the site.
A single, non post increasing, thread, where we can say what we like would be ideal....
If it doesnt add to post counts, what would the problem be?
why not just make it in chillout?
post as much as you want without it getting closed..
chillout suck0rz
agreed
the random thread was predominatley UK based. chillout wouldnt be
I can understand why it's shut, I just wish the yanky bastards would adhere to the rules, they don't own the forums, and if it means we have to piss them off to shut them up, so be it
Holly shit that random thread is 1150 pages long
the random thread lost its charm ages ago when it stopped being random... only like the first 20 pages contain the legendary UKTA randomness that we loved so much.
I glued my two fingers together

Jeff, you're getting more like an old codger as you get older
i think jeff is right about having a busier forum. ukta has gone right down the drain in terms of decent threads. the same threads stay up for a few weeks and get boring. i think the random thread needed to go. utter bollocks. we need a livlier forum so this was a step in the right direction i think.
I miss it
it was wank
