is expensive car audio stuff cool or stupid?

is it worth it putting 100s or even 1000s of s or $$$s or s on car audio gear?! like big sub woofers and stuff like that. or is it totally pointless and a waste of money in your opinion?

Now this is stupid.

Really, if you want a good sound system, with high fidelity and stuff, it's alright. But some people put loads of speakers and modules and whatnot and you can hear the car in a range of 25 kilometers. It's annoying when I'm in my car and I can't listen to the music because some other car is playing something else ridiculously loud. Sometimes I don't even want to hear anything and I'm forced to listen to stuff I can't even recognise

It's cool up to a point. I've probably invested $2000 in audio equipment in my car, because I love to feel and listen to clear music. But unless you're a person who goes to car shows and audio competitions it's useless to spend more than what I spent on a system.

Personally I think its kinda stupid. But really it may Depend on how much money you make, like its pretty stupid when all these ghetto kids waste all their money on their car and not on saving money helping himself/family to get out of the projects.

to me its worth it, as i've dumped a load on my car... , but i won't put it into competition though, more just for personal enjoyment

It's cool to a certain point... If it's overdone i don't like it too much....

no, it's stupid when people think they have a good system and drive around in their shitty car (geo tracker) blasting shitty music (that usher song) like that goddamn guy in my town

he just drives back and forth...

I really don't know. Expensive Cd players I don't like are sometimes too fancy.

It's one of the best investments I made. I spent 1000 + or - for a system with a mp3 audio cd and a clear sound and I'm really happy with it.

Standard radio I guess. I don't listen to music much when I drive.
